Purchased a new kitchen from HomeDepot Waynesboro, Va. Kitchen renovations started August 14, 2006. The cabinets were delivered on a different day than expected.

The wrong countertop color was ordered as well as it was measured incorrectly.

The wrong sink was ordered. Wanted me to let them drill holes in sink or order a different faucet. Had to ask for someone to come out and put old sink back in and hook up water while another sink was ordered. The store never called to say that the sink we wanted was no longer available and that we had to make a 40 mile trip and pick one that was in stock in the store.

The contractor left holes in my walls - and cut out my duct work for my furnace and did not fix it - left the hole. He did not adjust doors, not did he adjust the drawers. He completed this job as quickly as possible with no intention of coming back to fix his sloppy work.

My husband has talked with the Manager and shown him pictures of the inadequate work.

The project manager made us feel like he was doing us favor by taking back materials not needed on the job and refunding us money.

The contractor refused to do the electrical (which Home Depot picked) and Home Depot refused to help us find someone. The answer from Corporate was if they picked the electrician then we could blame them. They picked the contractor for the renovation, therefore, I do not understand the previous sentence.

My kitchen is stil not complete as of November 15, 2006. The valance over the sink has been ordered 3 times and still does not match. I was able to finally cook something in my 8 x 11 kitchen the middle of October.

Corporate has been useless in my complaint as I received a letter hoping I would shop there again. NOT ON YOUR LIFE. I called Corporate 5 times and then wrote a letter to the President. His assistant responded.
