I noticed that I am not the only one having issues with HomeEq. My husband and I were forced to refinance our home a coule of years ago because of financial difficulty. Our mortgage was bought by HomeEq. Our payments are alot higher than before so we were approved for a cheaper interest rate a few month ago which was going to significantly lower our payments. Only to find out that our appraisel on our home was done in a shady matter so that we could refinance the first time.
Now we are upside down in our home and were told by HomeEq to file for short refinance which would help with the negative equity. I filed all of the papers and had to pay $400 for my own appraiser to come out and give a legit appraisal so we could send all required documents to them. Now that we have done all of this they tell us we do not qualify and they don't under stand why we can't just pay our payments and go on.
Unfortuantely we are 3 months behind and after all the research on trying to get help to get the mortgage payments back on track so we can keep our home HomeEq is still giving me he run around. Every time I call them to see what my options are they tell me they have to email one person and that person will email another person and then someone will get back with me.
This has been going on for about 4 months and still no answers. I just wish someone would return my phone calls. Also I have asked to speak to management several times and for some reason they also will not pick up the phone or return my call when I leave messages.
This is so frustating when you have 3 children and have to wonder from day to day what is going to happen to the only home your children have ever known. It's not like we don't want to pay, we just need help. If anyone has any answers please let me know I am desperate. I feel like they don't want to help us but, there is nothing else I can do.
