This company is a joke. I have had my mortgage with them, on-time until we had the fires and was evacuated back in May/June of this year. I work out of my home, so with no home, no internet, it was impossible to work. I contacted them, and made a payment arrangement, which I have been keeping for the 2 back payments, in hopes of being current this month. To my surprise today, my mortgage payment was refunded to me. I called the office today and was told that the only way I could keep my home is if I had 6700.00 today, which I told them if I had that kind of money I would not be behind in my mortgage. So the deal that they want is 4000.00 in 2 weeks, and then have added an additional 500.00 to my mortgage payment each month for the next 8 months. I had owed them for July and August only - and again, 2 weeks ago, had paid my July payment in full, but they posted it as a refund to my bank. This company has went out of their way to put even more of a hardship on me financially. I explained to the lady - the area made national news with the forrest fires, and her comment to me was "that is not my problem".

We fell behind on the mortgage when the APR caused the home to raise the mortgage $600 a month. We could not refinance, they would not work out any reasonable resolution.They gave us a home loan on a inflated equity value. I found out later the house was accessed at $30,000 more then it was really worth. Our mortgage went from $1,101.00 monthly to $1,735.00. Then they tacked on their own homeowners insurance at $500 a month. I believe the prior insurance we paid for was $500 for the year. We had no way out of that trap. It was heart breaking. It had been in the family for 50 years.They auctioned it off for 50,000 less than its value.They treated us like animals. The worse was a call from a woman who sounded like she was about 20 years old. She degraded me,then said get out of that house. All I could think was wow I have been living here since you have been born-b***h!
I am tearing up just writing this. Losing your home is one of the most painful things I have ever had to deal with.
