HomEq Ripoff, dishonest, shady, liars, cheaters, immoral devils Sacramento California

HomEq is a horrid horrid financing company. I cannot believe that they are allowed to stay in business. They have tried to foreclose on my home twice in three months even though I had very explicit payment arrangements with them. They are now saying that I owe $9000.00 in back payments but they are refusing to give me a breakdown of with the $9000.00 consists of. I explained to the loss mitigation office named Becky that they have to follow the rules of the Federal Trade Commission and she laughed then told me they do not have to follow the FTC because they are a private company.

Between August 10 - September 9, 2005 I paid $2600.00 even though my payment is only $850.00 per month. Before I paid the $2600.00 I was two months past due ($1700.00 total). Instead of applying the payment amount they told me to pay, to my account, they put the money in a "suspense" account and I will never see that money again. Also, they are charging me an additional $5000.00 in so called legal fees but refuse to show proof of the charges.

I have now filed a chapter 13 to save my home and make them disclose all their fees and charges. Also, I filed a complaint with the FTC and received confirmation that they are investigating my claim. Everyone needs to file with the FTC - we need to make HomEq responsible for their actions. If we all stand together, we can get Wachovia (parent company) to make HomEq correct their actions and treat us fair and decent.
