If you are looking to advertise ---> BEWARE of Homes & Land Houston. In May of 2016 they sent me an email regarding an advertising spot shared with several other Realtors. The cost was $75.00. I received an invoice that stated the charge would be $75.00 for "1 spot" in 1 issue. I did not receive any calls from this advertisement so decided not to advertise with them again. The following year, my husband asked me why I was being charged $75.00 a month from Homes & Land when I wasn't working (on maternity leave). I had not been reading the credit card statement. Homes & Land had been fraudulently charging a revolving $75.00 fee.

I NEVER signed any documents authorizing these charges. I also had not received one phone call from the advertisement so I would have never known if it wasn't for my husband looking over the statements. The ONLY document I signed with them was an invoice stating a "1 spot" charge of $75.00. There is no fine print. Homes & Land finally emailed me back and claimed that the initial (lengthy) email they sent out describes this recuring charge. Legally speaking, lengthy emails can not justify charging someone's credit card. Nothing was signed by me. Our credit card company issued a credit but could only go back 4 months. Beware Realtors and advertisors.
