Homes of Merit Low quality, poor craftsmanship. Lake City Florida

 I purchased my home 2009, I had to have faxtory personel come and scrap paint overspray off of my windows. The guys they sent had no equipment to do the job. House is 13' above ground so they had to hang out of windows to scrape paint off. Guys kept saying you couldn't do this yourself. I bought a new house and wasn't the one that was paid to paint the house in the first place. The paint it turns out had a very thin single coat of primer sprayed on followed by a thin coat of paint that has now faded and looks 20 yrs. old.

Had electrical problems with GFI outlets going bad had one changed and has since gone bad.

I now have strong sewer gas oders in master bath everytime I use the sink.

Floors are creaking and warping like house is 100 yrs old.

The factory also forgot to install a damper in the vents for the stove, I found a live bird on top of fan right above cooking area because there was no damper. I have to cover the air intake with a plastic bag to stop drafts from north wind.

I personally had to repair front and back doors doo to losey fit and finish. (I worked as a locksmith)

I also had the experience of the floating floor during hurricane Isaac, major trip hazard.

Several of the windows have a poor fit, the springs keep slipping of the lower pain causing the widow not to stay open completely or not at all. First time it happened it almost cut my fingers off when it slammed down with out warning.

After dealing with the first two incompetant yo-yo's I figured whats the point of reporting anything else. The people they sent to scrape paint off my windows looked like they live in their cars, and have no clue about how to be a proffesional anything. No pride in their work or product. I can only assume these were the two dimwits that operated the paint gun at the factory.

The structure is sturdy but the finish is losey. Looks like workers at factory just didn't care about their jobs!!!
