Our family spent two days trying to purchase a vehicle which the Ford Motor Company pulled credit on our family member, only to find out the vehicle was misrepresented and did not come with the advertised items. To date it is still being advertised having items that is does not have.

Namely, it does not have Navigation nor rear Bucket Seats. Our Family's credit was pulled by the dealer affecting us adversely by lowering the credit score. It is still being advertised with items it does not have and here is the link.


 Also the General Manager Danny stated directly they have a third party perform their advertising and they make mistakes but continues to keep this false information advertised.

We would have never applied for a loan if we knew this was a bait a switch which they continue to advertised.

It is really unfortunate that people comment and display unprfessionalism online. The good thing is that Hawaii is small place and people know me for a very long time and know my credibility and integrity. To make comments and accusations that are false and offensive is childish. If you really did want to buy a car or was really interested in one, then come forward and state your case. It is not my fault that you have bad credit and no down payment to back your buying desires. We help challenged credit buyers, too. I hope you find happiness in the near future.

Advertising Error

Every effort is made to insure our vehicles are correctly represented online and provide up to 20 photos of every vehicle posted on CraigsList or our website at www.Honoluluford.com. If there was a discrepancy in the listing, the  interior pictures would have clearly indicated the absence of navigation and/or rear bucket seats.

Additionally, the following disclaimer appears in all online advertising and clearly states in unambiguous terms:

The Dealership makes no representations, expressed or implied, to any actual or prospective purchaser or owner of this vehicle as to the existence, ownership, accuracy, description or condition of this vehicle's listed equipment, accessories, price or any warranties. Vehicle Pricing - Where permitted by law, all dealer fees and amounts must be disclosed in a clear, conspicuous and legible fashion. There are no exclusions. The Dealership is not responsible for typographical errors in price or equipment listed. Any and all differences must be addressed prior to the sale of this vehicle.

 Honolulu Ford initiates a consumer credit report only after a potential customer signs and authorizes a credit application, and after the customer has the opportunity to preview and test drive the vehicle of interest. The review indicates that over a period of two days, the family tried to purchase a vehicle.  One could make the assumption that during that period of time, the parties involved in the purchase had ample opportunity to discover the vehicle was not equipped with rear bucket seats and navigation. 

 Honolulu Ford does not engage in any "bait and switch" tactics. The pre-owned vehicle was for sale at the advertised price. 

We regret the customer was unable to finance the vehicle as credit approval determination cannot be made without a credit report.  Moreover,the  customer has a responsibilty of his own due diligence in determining if the vehicle is equipped for their needs.
