Hoover Toyota,Hoover Al,car dealership con artist

We bought a used car from Hoover Toyota who claimed that the car was in excellent condition. The car had supposedly been inspected but they could not produce a car affidavit. We asked questions about a strange noise the car was making and about the speed of the car. Both were explained as the response of a SUV vehicle. This is somewhat true, but not when you compare what our car was doing. Upon getting it home, there was a huge crack in the hood. They did pay to have the hood replaced, because that is the only thing the car repair shop said would fix it. The squealing belts that they fixed were sqealing again in 2 days. We returned to the dealership who gave us a "as is" policy quote. Less than a month after we bought the car, we had to pay $2500 to have it running again and another $500 to catch up all the rest of the minor conditions. Within 3 months, the car is on its last leg.
