 I went to book a condo to stay in st maarten. I thought I was on the resort's websitebut was on this Hotel Plus Portal site. I called the number because I didn't feel I was on the right site and left to believe this was the resort I was booking through. I told the lady I needed a unit to sleep 6 people. The agent said she had one that had a king bed, sofa bed and murphy bed. I said ok and was asked for my credit card info. Ask about refund/cancellation and was told it would come with the confirmation. I must note they charged my card a 9:49 and sent me the cancellation policy with the confirmation at 10:51. I was not made aware of the refund policy until after they charged my card. I noticed that the confirmation listed bedding for 4 people. I called Hotel Plus Portal. They told me I coud get 2 roll away cots for 15 dollars a night each. I said no and wanted a refund as they were not providing what they described initially. They refused to refund me. After I emailed, they called back a couple days ;ater and said they got me into a room with bedding for 6 people to which I requested an email with a floorplan and a new confirmation describing accomadations for 6 people to sleep. I have requested this many times and as recently as today and still have not received it. After not getting any confirmation I started to research Hotel Plus Portal and found bad reviews on them as well as the hotel they booked me at. I emailed 2 people who wrote poor reviews on the hotel and stayed there as recent as 2 weeks ago. I then called the resort direct to find out if the a/c was broken and told yes in many units. I asked about the unit we were booked in and told the room assignment had not been made and it was possible we would not have a/c. I asked the resort about the breakfast that was to be included and told no breakfast.

 I called Hotel Plus Portl and stated I wanted a refund because I did not have confirmation of sleeping for 6 people, the resort could not guarantee a/c in the unit I would be assigned and no breakfast inclusion-I was not getting what they initally described. After not getting to talk to anyone for several calls. Finally the manager called. I explained that I had 2 asthmatic children and could not be in a unit with no a/c or containing mold as one of the 2 people I emailed described from their stay there. She was rude and hung up on me. She then sent me an email stating all mistruths and said that the reservation was standing as it was and she was not giving my refund. She offered to rebook me at one of 3 other resorts at 3 times the cost to which I declined an again requested a refund. 

I now have the credit card company disputing the charge, have filed a complaint with variuos agencies as well as taken all the info. to an attourney. Hotel Plus Portal fraudulently charged my credit card. With all the complaints against them their business license should be taken away.
