I was trying to have my Mortgage Refinanced to one payment, and I contacted a Mortgage Company, who asked for a pay-off from Household and they took over a month to get the information to the mortgage company. In the meantime, they started calling me up and asking me to refinance my loan with them and they would give me a bette interest rate, etc. (more false promises).

I finally made an appointment with them to see what they could offer me that was such a better deal than the 12% I am already paying them, and when I went for my appointment, I waited over 30 minutes, just to be told that the person I was supposed to be seeing was tied up with a closing. I was furious, then they sent my husband and myself into an office in the back area and told us she would be right with us. After another 20 or 30 minutes, they sent in someone who we had never spoken with, she did her speech and told us we would hear something within the next three days.

After the three days, we started to call and inquire whats up, and we were again given the runaround. The person was on vacation, but should not be any problems with the loan. So we waited another week, and guess what? We received a letter in the mail 2 weeks later stating that they would not be able to help us.

So why did they bother to harrass me in the first place and get my hopes up that they were going to help me out? I am really confused and hope to find a lender real soon to get out of having to deal with these inconsistent people ever again. Hope my story helps someone else not to fall for their lies, lies, and sales tactics.
