Howard Miller Car Scam , Internet

I found a 2003 Lexus Truck on Craigslist with for $3,600.00. There was no phone number to contact the seller, so I emailed the seller. Once I emailed to let them know we were interested in the vehicle, a guy by the (Howard Miller) emailed me to let us know that he would be using eBay Financing Department going through their Vehicle Purchase Protection Program. State he was recently divorced and was selling the car to split the money with his wife.  He told me that he needed my full name and address so he could start the process through eBay Financing Department and for me to be looking for an email from them on how to send the money and the next steps.

Upon talk with my husband; he stated that it sounded to good to be true. Therefore I began to do a reseach and found that indeed this was a scam. Just wanted to share so no one would be scam by this person.

Below is the email I received from him......

Hello,

My car is with no scratches, dings, special marks whatsoever, never been involved in any accidents. actual mileage of my car: 72,150 Clean Title, VIN # : JTJGA31U440037456 -  Engine: 3.3L V6 SFI 24V, transmission:  Automatic. The interior looks great (NO SMOKING). It has a clear title ready to be signed and notarized on your name. The price is not negotiable; $3,600.00 is my last price. I sell my car because me and my wife broke up recently because I'm always away from home(I'm a pilot on cargo flights). We just sold our house and split the money. This is the last thing I need to sell and split the money with her. At this point I am in Calgary,Canada at my parents due to my father's situation, he's going through a hard time with his illness.

The car will come with all documents, including owner's manual, clear title and a bill of sale on your name will be provided along with the car. Because I'm away most of the time I will not be able to deal in person But I've already arranged the shipping and the title transfer anywhere in the US. The car is located in Helena, Montana sealed and ready for the shipping. Due to the fact that I am very busy with my work I need a fast transaction. I want the payment to be handled by eBay Financial Department. They will keep the money until you will receive and inspect the car. You will have 10 days of inspection period. If the car is not like described you will have to ship it back on my expense and they will give you a full refund. This way, you will be able to inspect the vehicle before committing to buy it and I know that you have the money and you aren't just fooling around. Giving the nature of this transaction please note that my sale terms are final and nonnegotiable. In order to move forward I will need your full name, address and phone number so i can register the deal at eBay Financial Department.After that eBay will send you the payment instruction.
