As the owner or Howze Theater Solutionz, I am a businessman who does use sub contractors to fulfill workorders besides doing work myself. All my sub contractors have known about the deduction for fees associated with carrying general liability for them to perform work. This person had that amount deducted out of their final check, and was in fact reminded by another subcontractor and one of his close friends who still is used today...that this policy was explained to him and every other contractor, but somehow he forgot and said was never told, although all my subcontractors can state otherwise. This person states I made them lie about showing up to canceled appointments .....for what gain I have no clue....we are paid a trip fee by the contracting company if we show up on site and job does not get completed...of which that contractor is also paid his share of it for their time and gas compensation......but even if a contractor does not show up and job is canceled....I am still paid a fee for its cancelation an amount that is equal to the share I would get from a trip fee because I am booking that timeslot and losing potential income,...so I make no extra money.

My business has been around for several years and I have been in the industry for over 20 years, this person was not fully capable to perform all the tasks he was sent out on and therefore was told to either take a reduction in pay due to insufficient skill or find other avenues of employment. This person also lied about what he was doing on days he was scheduled to do work in order to go do interviews with a competing company...this was the only thing I did not agree with, but I wasnt upset in any way....since he decided to lie about his actions what else had he lied about and what else was he going to cover up. I have never had any other contractor quit without being paid, but have myself not been paid for work completed in full. As far as a no compete order, that is standard business practice when you have a type of work that clients can be taken from the original business if they choose to leave and in this case it was to be signed not only for my protection but for the protection of all the other subcontractors that work for me daily and rely on the constant flow of work. I have no grievances towards them and only just found this report by chance as it is the only one ever submitted against my company in the many years I have been In business. I do however take offense to samone saying my work is shady when my work is not in question here nor has he brought up any evidence that my work is shady....I have several certifications that can show how qualified I am along with a list of customers who will stand by my work, and how knowledgable I am....something I know for a fact this person does not possess.
