hp Hewlett Packard bad laptop. bad customer service. bad company. stay faaar away Internet

Where do i begin. I bought this laptop in late 2007 from best buy. It was my first hp laptop and will be my last. From the second i got home this thing ran very hot. I mean really hot. Didn't think much of it. It was buggy from the start but usable. Well like clockwork after the warranty i got the blue screen of death and it would give an nvidia error before shutting down. I basically used the motherboard graphic card and worked around the problem bc when i went to best buy they said it needed a new motherboard.

Ok cap product, whatever life goes on. Well i had my work laptop that is a Sony vaio have that same exact blue screen nvidia error. I thought it was so weird but i called even though this computer was bought in 2005 and was 3 years out of warranty!! Sony said it was a known issue and they would replace the motherboard free of charge. Two days later they showed up and did just that. Snow i figured if Sony did that hp would do the same after all it was almost 3 years newer.

Well when i called the lady first denied there was any incompatibility problem. Then she took remote control of my computer and i showed her five links that were news articles that specifically linked my laptop series to this nvidia problem. She then admitted there was an issue. Anyway she wanted to flash the biosphere and i told her not to but she insisted. After that the computer won't even turn on. Great. She said hp would repair it and her supervisor would call me back to set it up. Of course no call came in.

I called back and they count find my case bc mysteriously my phone number and email were entered wrong and the notes never said the computer crashed or that they were going to fix it. This guys said she should have never told me that bc they won't fix it. He admitted there was a problem w nvidia and there was a class action lawsuit that closed in February!!!! I said why wasn't i notified he said it was not public u had to research it at that time period!!! He said sorry nothing we can do. I wrote a complaint to the ceo and someone got back to me telling me even if they wanted to they have no parts for this 4 year Olsonold computer. Even if i wanted to repair it i can't even pay to do it. Rrrrrrrr. But since the rep ruined the computer even worse she would escalate to another supervisor.

He called me today and was immediately rude and combative. Blaming me for not reading the fine print when i pressed the accept button to let the hp professional on my computer. He then said he could give me a free service warranty in a new hp laptop. I told him about what Sony did and asked if he would ever buy an hp again. He then reiterated that it was i who was at fault for not reading the fine print. I flipped out from all the frustration and hung up. He was the worst human i have ever had the displeasure of speaking with. Stay far far away for hp their products and garbage and so is their whole company. I have several friends and colleagues who have had similar experiences.
