I am writing this to make everyone aware of my experience so they do not go through the same things I went through. This is a somewhat long story but I will attempt to make it as short and informative as possible.

Issue # 1
I have been a loyal customer of HR Block for the past 11 years. I have had problems in the past but this year is the end of them. I was approved an emerald advance loan in December 08. I again was approve an additional line of credit in January. Or so I was told. After paying back the first, customer service told me on three separate occasions that I was intend approved a loan and it would be available on a certain date to call back then. I called three times and on the third times was told another date to call back. On the fourth go around I was told then that I missed the deadline for retrieve the credit line. I asked for a supervisor and was hung up on. I then called back the following day and requested a supervisor. The customer service rep then argued with me for about 15 minutes before putting me on hold and hanging up on me. I called back again the next day and was transferred to the supervisor who informed me she did not know what I was talking about on a line of credit and could not help me.

Issue # 2
I called the corporate line to complain of the terrible customer service and was told that an email to the district manager was all that they could do. I was also told that within 48 hours I would be contact regarding the matter. This was over a week ago.

Issue # 3

I was told by customer service 6 months ago or more that I could use paypal with my account. He then gave me the routing number and account number. On Feb 20, I transferred a large sum of money into my hrblock account. Two days later I called HR block customer service to find out how long it would take for the transfer to go through and was told that I could not transfer from my paypal to my emerald account. I told them that paypal showed that the transaction was completed and wanted to know where my funds were. They could not tell me anything except I can't help you.

No matter who I talk to in customer service I am told the same...sorry can't help you. My advice is not to use any products with HR Block that requires you to use customer service. Oh, wait! They is pretty much all of their services now isn't it. I went from a loyal customer ready to talk to other about the service to a customer that is looking for an attorney in order to retrieve my funds.
