i recently bought a new motorcycle with my kawasaki card. i charged 7900.00 to the card which had a prior balance of 2100.00. when i contacted them and asked them if i could pay off some of the principle amount for the motorcycle purchase they told me i couldn't. so, in order for me to get the title of ownership i would have to pay my balance in full. this makes no sense. multiple phone calls only result in more headache and frustration and even when u speak nicely to the ppl working there, they are still rude. It can't be legal for them to do what they're doing. I plan i getting in touch with the BBB. If any1 has any advice i would appreciate it. i will never do business with HRS again or any store that uses them. so far i have cancelled my best buy, levitz, office depot cards and i'm watching out for more stores that use HRS. We are the only ones that can stop these ppl from doing this to us.

Where's the Ripoff?

AUTHOR: Rich - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, July 02, 2004

From what I read here, your purchase brought your
credit card balance to $10,000. You do not say
what the balance was at the time you asked to
"pay off some of the principle" on the account.
You do not say if your statement lists or applies
payments to the balance in whole or as a partial
payment to the $7900 and part to the $2100.

A credit card is not an installment loan. It
is a revolving charge, and unless the payments
are split between the $7900 and $2100, how is
the credit card company (HRS) supposed to
determine how much is owed on the motorcycle?
How do you know how much is owed on the bike?
The only way for anyone to determine when you
pay off the motorcycle is when there is no
outstanding balance on the account.

Yes, "we are the only ones that can stop
these ppl from doing this to us".
Always read account disclosure statements.
Never purchase an item that will be used as
collateral on a revolving charge account.

In all the years that I have used HRS, I have
only had one small problem with them. It was
cleared up over the phone with two simple calls.

if you paid for this then listen to this
its just as easy to get a title
with out any paper work
all you need is a couple of lies
go to the dmv get 2 papers
one is white the other is pink
fill them out tell them you bought it
and the person left to mexico
and what you do in this case
they will just say ok fill the paper out
and give you all you need

good luck

if you are saying that hrs is not giving you the title "pink slip" to the motor cycle until you pay it off that is the way every finance company works have you ever gotten the title for a car that was on a loan until it is payed off it is just not done that way for any titled purchase.
