HSBC Auto Finance Ripoff Fraudulent Poor Business Practices Idiots in Cubicles Call all hours of the day City Of Industry California

My oh my. If only I had checked out Household Auto finance aka HSBC Auto Finance before purchasing my car.
After reading all these reports today, I can surely agree with everyone about HSBC Auto Finance.

A little background on my story...I bought my 2004 Dodge Stratus in May of 2004. I have always paid extra on my account every month. Even if it's only $20, it is something extra. Then sometimes, bad things happen to good people. I am one of those people. My husband had surgery in March of this year. We got behind on ALOT of our bills. HSBC literally calls my house when my payment is 5 days past due. And they don't just call one time. They start at 8:30 am and call EVERY SINGLE HOUR ON THE HOUR until about 9:00 pm. Before I had caller ID and just wouldn't answer it and let it go to voicemail. They would never leave a message.

Well, we've had to scale down some things in our lives to get caught up and the fancy phone plan was one of them. No more voicemail and no more caller ID. Now I simply answer the phone everytime it rings and reiterate the same thing over and over.

Of course, it doesn't help that every single person that calls my home cannot speak English. They call every day and every day I tell them the same thing. "I can pay you this date ******". They ask why I am behind on my payments and I tell them it is none of their business. I don't think by law that I have to divulge my life history to this IDIOT in a CUBICLE in INDIA.

Tonight, I had an ENGLISH speaking gentleman call me and I told him, yet again, I can pay you on ******. He asked again why I am behind, I told him it was none of his business. He continued by screaming at me and yelling at me. So, I told him exactly what I thought. That he was an idiot in a cubicle, and proceeded to hang up on him.

My house payment still hasn't been paid for July 1st and HSBC is harrassing me about the car payment due July 25th? Get in line. You aren't the only person trying to get money from me.

Here is my dilema. After reading all these other accounts of people talk about all the problems they have had with HSBC, I am worrying about paying the loan off (when I get to that point). I am not going to pay them a penny more than they are due. They alrady have a discrepancy on my account from all the extra I paid them. When I started accruing late charges, every month when I made a payment, instead of paying the late charge, they put it towards the principal and it continues to show a balance short amount of $16 every month. I have paid the exact amount they have told me I owe, and it still doesn't take care of this balance short amount. It isn't accruing finance charges I have been told, so I guess they will just get that payment at the end of the loan.

Please, if you are even considering purchasing a car, DO NOT USE HSBC AUTO FINANCE, or HOUSEHOLD AUTO FINANCE. They will rip you off from here to Timbuktu.
