Hughes Net I too have had many issues with Hughesnet they have been a pain the whole 3 years I used them. Internet Nationwide

I too have had many issues with hughes. I have had there service for over 3 years only cuz I need the speed compared to dile-up. i went throught the whole FAP(Fair Access Policy) and leared to live with it. I wrote to the BBB over it many times and shortly after contacting a lawyer they gave all hughes customers a 3 hr window every night to download heavy bandwith files and music. Still not the best but they did try. I still wouldnt use the service if I had any DSL here.

Anyhow the newest issue, I just upgraded my service and harware to a faster modem and faster and more bandwith paln too. But two weeks into it I just found out I have to move and Im now obligated to hold my service for 2 years. I only did that cuz I was living here but they want me to pay to have the hardware moved or I can cancel my service for a $300 fee. Now after 3 years of dealing with them they still are going to put the screw to me over a 2 week service. I dont uinderstand how they can do this to people that have to move and have no choice but to cancel my service. What, Im suppose to pay for the service for 2 years for a house I wont be living in?

If they had one concern in thier bones for thier customers they wouldnt hold people to a contraact when they dont live in the same house! Come on, its only commen sence that I wont be living there. They should ahve something like cell phones do wheere if you do move out of an area then you can cancel at a low fee not the normal cancel fee. Hughes just cant stand letting people go wiithout getting that last drop of blood!

Anyhow where Im going has DSL thank god and i will have to cancel and pay my fee. But its almost a releaf to stop using Hughes. I would have paid $500 a year ago to get DSL and do away with hughes so I guess Im getting the better end of the deal!

I wish there was a class action suit against them for false advertising. they say its broadband but they cant provide that at all. Right there we could sue. On top of all the other lies they tell. Like downloan large files faster then ever berfore is what they lady says on there comercial. See its all lies!

DONT GET HUGHES INTERNET, even if you have no choice, Dial - up is better just cuz its cheap and you wont have any expectations that will be crushed.
