Hughes Network DirecWay Ripoff, Dishonest, Fraudulent Billing Germantown Maryland

Hughes Direcway HUGE RIPOFF. In Janurary of 2006 I purchased the 15-month period for Direcway system contract. Shortly after, Direcway switched to Hughes. I was setup on billing to be automatically taken out on the 15th of every month. In July, they withdrew funds before my due date which caused my account to be overdrawn. I contacted them as the money was not in my account until the 15th as I explained several times prior to installation(representitives said No Problem) the billing Department Locked my account. After hours of being on hold for billing, they informed me that I now had a NEW date to pay by and I had to pay them 102.00 a month now instead of the 89.99 I was quoted in the beginning. I called again on the 15th of July to find out within the 2 days of talking to them my bill was now 150.00 for my service to be reinstated. I angerly paid the 150.00 to be back off line in 2 hours. After several hours with Technical support I was back on line. In September I was ONCE AGAIN disconnected. After 8 hours of technical support I was back online to be disconnected 2 weeks later from billing. After numerous calls to billing I finally find out I have to now purchase thier equipment which I was originally told I had 15-month period to purchase the equipment. After dishing out 330.00 MORE to own thier equipment I am back to dialup since DSL or Cable is unavailable in the rural area I live in. They refuse to turn my service back on because I threatened to stop payment if my service was not reinstated. They refuse the equipment to be returned to them and after countless wasteful conversations with supervisors I still do not have SERVICE. I also found it quite funny that 20 minutes after arguing with a supervisor about breaching a contract that they state I never had to begin with, suddenly my Directv was disconnected without any explanation. BUYERS BEWARE and if you do decide to go with Hughes GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING for they will tell you your contract was with Direcway and we are now Hughes and the biggest one PRICES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE. Good luck get your Rebate as well since I never recieved mine which magically was never submitted, which I have all the copies. Good luck too speaking with an actual American that works for the company as well.
