Hughes Network Systems HughesNet Was not provided the services I was told I would get. Germantown Maryland

I wish I had done more research on this Company before signing up.  There Agents do not speak good English and they are hard to understand.  They are a Money-Hungry Company who does not care about there customers as much as American companys do.

I signed up with AT&T Direct TV and was told that they did not provide Internet Service in my area so they connected me to Hughes Net.  I had never had Satellite Internet Seervice before but I had heard that it was fast.  While talking to the Agent she asked me questions about what what I use the intenet for and I explained that mostly fantasy sports, Facebook and General Information..No gamming.  I was told that there 20GB Plan should be ok...I also gave them information on the devices we use at home.  2 Laptops and a Kendle.  I was never explained how the Data got used,  After several months of trying to get them to explain how data worked, I was very unhappy.. 

Even when we had data the Internet was never fast, I could not watch anything on my Laptop and after a week my data was gone.  After sending several e-mail complaints  urge (with no response).  I finally called customer service again to complain....the agent offered me $10.00 per month credit for 3 months.  I was still a little confused about how data was used.

At this point in time I have been with Hughes Net for 9 or 10 months. I am Disabled and live on a fixed income.  I called them to cancel my service and I knew I was under a contract.  However I was offered a place to live in another state and don't need internet.  I tried to explain that I can not pay the early cancellation fee and if they would wave it given the circumstances.  The agents are hard to understand as English is not there first languge and was told that I could have a Fee of over $300.00. 

Hughes Net is a rip-off!!!
