Hughesnet Sattelite Huge Hidden Cancellation Fee Nationwide

We were stuck in a region where no cable company, DSL is too far from the center, and mobile hot spot is too weak. Though we read a lot about how bad Hughesnet is, we still gave it a try.

When we set it up, we were told we can cancel at anytime, but did not tell us that there will be a $1,250 cancellation charge.

After the installation, the bandwidth is very unstable, audio and video just don't sync up.

We called trying to cancel, but was told that we need to pay $1,250 cancellation charge.  I asked what if we cancel six month later, they said that then it will be $600 cancellation fee.

So we waited six month and just called now, we were told on top of the $600 contract cancellation fee, there is another $325 equipment cancellation fee.  So the total cancellation charge is $925.

We are pissed...
