Hy Cite Royal Prestige HyCite Decieving Sales bridal show and Return Policies, High Interest and incorrect rates, and Selling products to minors without financial support Monroe New York

I attended a bridal show with my fiancee a while back where we were convinced we wanted to buy this set of cookware with the additive of 2 all paid vacations, free set of bakeware and vouchers for shopping online. They said I would only have to pay around 38 dollars a month for the first yr since I was in school. Not only did they not stick to that they also told me it was a very low interest rate no higher than 10% and it is really 24%. I tried to return it after we recieved within the first 3 days and we were told it was the first 3 days after we ordered. We had to keep the cookware and we were very unhappy with it and the situation. The all paid vouchers for the products online didnt include shipping and handeling and even though it let us order it we still ended up paying over 150 dollars for the products. I felt throughly screwed in the end and now over a year later I am still getting screwed. They need to be taken care of once and for all.

#1 Consumer Suggestion

Let the buyer beware actually "aware."

AUTHOR: Stephen - (Canada)

POSTED: Wednesday, January 31, 2007

I have been in direct sales for 17 years. In that time I have seen consumers do a lot of things that were not proper or professional. When we purchase things we get receipts and contracts with everything spelled out. Finance companies even call us to verify our purchase and make sure that we want the products because they don't want to get stiffed for the payments. (Finance companies are 3rd parties usually, and should always be viewed as such.)

Therefore before you sign anything, read it. It doesn't matter if the sales person says he can give you the moon (cause misrepresentation is hard to prove) especially in the face of a signed contract. That's what holds up in court.

So believe what you read, cause that signed contract is no joke. If you're in the habit of buying products you don't want, whose really to blame. You can not buy a car and drive it for a month, (or park it in your garage untouched) and then expect the dealer to take it back can you?

I read these comments and I notice nobody mentions they signed a contract that spelled everything out as clear as day. Only what this guys said, or that. I don't work, nor have I ever with HyCite, I was just doing some research when I stumbled on your site, but I wonder about people. Are you really that naive? Victim, or playing one because you didn't do you homework. Nobody forces people to buy things, but because people just don't know how to say "no" and mean it, has caused more grief for consumers, finance companies and sales people alike then any other factor. "I'm sorry, but we won't be purchasing anything." Is that so hard? And if you do buy something, stand buy your committment. A friend critisizes your purchase and now you have second thoughts. You think there's a better deal somewhere else. You buy something and a week later your car breaks down. Now you think you want to return that product.

These are common reasons why people rationalize a return, but that doesn't make them right. Bible says: Let your Yes mean Yes, and your No mean No. It doesn't say buy things and get mad if you can't return them, or if you didn't read what you signed. Mr. Editor, what responsibility does the complainant have? Sad to see so many people so unhappy, when I guarantee they were all smiles upon purchase. (Sure there are a few bad apples out there, but consumers dictate what salespeople will generally do.)

If consumers weren't buying, salespeople would disappear. Bottom line, if you're a buyer do your homework. Don't get lazy or perfunctory before you sign your life away, cause you have all the power, not the sales folks. Remember that!

Interest rates are always disclosed on the contracts so read them. Also, refinance with a company with a lower rate. Most fiance companies offer programs like 90 days same as cash. That means you can get a loan from your bank at a low interest rate cause they know you, and pay off the loan with the sellers finance company without paying too much interest. Hope you learned something. Bye Bye.
