After reading other poor reviews, and seeing the abuse that Hydra Fab has treated others with, we decided we should write our story of deception and lies.

My husband and I ordered a water drilling rig that we then shipped to Peru, South America to be able to drill water wells for the poorer persons who have to bucket water to their homes. We went to Hydra Fabs facility to view the rigs and learn how to operate it. We then ordered and paid for it. We also paid for extra bits and extensions to allow for us to drill 300 feet.

They called us when the rig was completed and helped us to arrange for shipping from Alabama to Savannah, Georgia to be put on a ship. I spoke to them numerous times on the phone during the process. The owners Tim and Charlotte ALWAYS answered their phone and were quick to give us advice and assistance. We were so impressed. They promised us complete technical support after purchase and told us to call anytime we needed them. LIES!

As as soon as the rig left U.S. soil, we were unable to reach them. Their phone went to voicemail immediately and no calls were returned.  Even after receiving the item in Peru and learning that they did not send the extra bit or pipe extensions that we had already paid for, we could not get them to call us back. Many emergencies came up where we needed troubleshooting and they refused to answer.

The pipe extensions that they did send were subpar (not solid pipes but welded pieces) and broke off after only one use. All of the parts are ordered from China and just put together at their shop. It is not American made.  Most of the pieces that came with or on the rig had to be replaced by local small shops in Peru to even be able to use the rig.

It it has been over a year now, and we are going thru the process of obtaining a judgment against them. So, please if you are interested in this type of thing, use anyone but Hydra Fab. Avoid them like the plague!

ALL FALSE LIES, I Spoke With These People At Least A Dozen Times, AFTER They Were In Peru

AUTHOR: Timothy - (United States)

POSTED: Tuesday, February 04, 2020

The fact is, once they started drilling, he hit hard rock, he called me complaining at first, then got very belligerent, cursing, and calling the rig junk, piece of crap, etc. After many phone conversations, trying to help, the guy just didn't want to listen, after he pretty much destroyed the drilling rig, he actually wanted us to refund his money, and leave it up to us to retrieve what was left of the rig, in Peru.

We go to extremes to keep our customers happy, unfortunately, that is impossible with some people. We state, PLAINLY, on our website that none of our rigs are recommended for attempting to drill through hard rock. Unfortunately, some people just resort to slander and lies when things don't go their way.

These people came to our facility and inspected the rig, we spent a full day demonstrating and giving them hands on training on how to use the rig, before they purchased it. Actually, the guy's wife was much more familiar with the mechanics than he was. There was never any judgement filed against Hydra Fab on behalf of these people, or anyone else for that matter.

WE HAVE NEVER CLAIMED OUR RIGS WILL DRILL THROUGH HARD ROCK

AUTHOR: Tim - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 14, 2016

I have no idea who this is, most likely a competitor responsible for it, just take a look at our website at all the real missionaries who have drilled many wells in Africa and many other countries. Also, look at the first page where we plainly state that our rigs are not reccommended for hard rock formations. Anyone who claims that we told them that any of our rigs were capable of drilling through hard rock is lieing, in fact, we have strongly reccommended to many potential customers against purchasing our rigs even to attempt drilling hard rock.

hydrafab tim king boremaster failed

AUTHOR: Kadir - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, May 28, 2014

We bought a boremaster hydrafab rig for missionary work in africa, i was assured it would drill africa rock. After paying 3 times more than rig cost to ship to africa it got there. Was mssing parts and not all bits were there. Tryed to call, no answer. After research, i noticed other buys have same problem with tim king hydrafab. It took money from several familys to buy this rig we needed, and now we have Rig that will not drill hard formations. After breaking off drill pipe and only getting 9 ft we reallized we have been riffed off. I would suggest others to buy from others. our experance was not good.

We still have no water at missionary village, and now we also have no more money. Hydrafab tim king boremaster is also very mean on phone. Buyers beware.

Nonsense

AUTHOR: Tim - ()

POSTED: Thursday, May 22, 2014

All but about 1% of this slander report from Mr or Mrs Gutierrez is a complete LIE. The facts are: They did purchase a drilling rig from us, and yes, our drill rods do have welded joints on each end, (a common and standard practice with all drill rod / drill pipes made in the U.S. They did come to our facility, and we spent about two hours demonstrating and instructing them on operating the rig, we drilled with the rig, everything worked fine. We did assist with shipping the rig to Puru. Beyond that, everything else is a lie.

NOT ONE ITEM ON THE RIG THEY PURCHASED FROM US IS MADE IN CHINA, NOT ONE. The main engine is a KOHLER, the mud pump is a HONDA, all the hydraulics are PARKER, or EATON, we manufacture the entire rig at our facility here in Alabama, made with steel purchased in the U.S.

I talked with Mr Gutierrez several times by phone as he was drilling in Puru. The problem was that he hit hard rock, and ended up getting the drill bit stuck in the rock, causing the drill rod to break. Also, by drilling in hard rock, it puts a beating on the rig causing other things to break. I personally warned both Mr and Mrs Gutierrez, when we conducted the "hands-on" demonstration, about attempting to drill hard rock. We have plain and clear cautions posted on the front page of our website, for over six years, about attempting to drill hard rock.

Mr Gutierrez wanted us to send pasrts, under warranty, and cover the cost of shipping to Puru for things he was breaking. I couldn't do that.

We have 99% customer satisfaction, most customers are thrilled and happy, and do succeed, unfortunately, we can't guarantee every customer will succeed.

Just to equal things up a little, I am including a couple emails below, from a customer in California who purchased a rig exactly like the Gutierrez rig. For his privacy, I am conceiling his contact details.

This is an incredible little rig. Went thru hard pan like butter. I drilled 70 feet with 8" bit in 4 hours.
