I'm not sure how far this scam goes, but last year I was searching for ways to make money online and came across this group: Genesis Consulting Company, 3116 S Mill Ave, Suite #212, Tempe, AZ 85282. They set me up with a trainer and initially the online program helped my to build an Amazon Affiliate Site online. My trainer called me once a week for 3 months until all my online assignments were done and my website was up and running. The Back Office included a run down of my Account, and a Training Center. They charged me $1,731.50 for monthly hosting fees of $29.95, and access to the training center, live training, astore,  and webtools, SEO help Etc. This was back in May 2012.

When my training was almost complete and my website was up and running, I contacted support via my Back Office message center, and they replied by having a consultant call me. His name was Leif Suppah, Marketing Development Consultant, Genesis Consulting Group. July 6th, 2012. I bought into another program to help advance my website business for $500. The program included: SEO Tools (Search Engine Optimization tools) including meta generator, keyword analysis and XML site map tools.Training Center 6 Months, The Training Center provides online access to dozens of how-to articles and videos covering website development and marketing lessons. AccuTrack -tracking system has been added to your back office. You will now be able to better monitor traffic and activity on your website.

The training and Back Office resources seemed real enough, but as I followed each step through and built up my online shopping website, I received another call. This time it was from a very pushy, extremely hard-sell man, who wanted me to buy into a $3,500 upgrade for more Training resources, such as: High Profit Product Search -Trainer will search thousands of wholesale suppliers and drop shippers to provide you with suppliers of 'niche related' products you can add to your website. Ebay Super Seller Training that teaches you to become an eBay seller. You'll also learn how to turn eBay shoppers into customers. Global Seller -Training to help you learn to sell products on popular shopping sites around the world. This guy's name was Gregory Tremble. He kept calling but I ignored the calls, and when I was ready to explore more options as my website still wasn't delivering (I wasn't making any sales), I called the number he had left but I could never get a hold of him.

My trainer who called me once a week, to walk me through building up my website was, Ms Jermicka. When our training sessions were completed, I contacted Customer service and received this message: Re: advanced marketing. Customer Service to Merry Baguio on October 22, 2012, 8:09 am. Dear Merry, We are glad to hear you are ready to continue moving forward with your website, You can call the number listed in your Tips and Tricks section of your Back Office to
speak with a Consultant about the programs they have available.

This is when things went from bad to worse. I contacted their consultants on this number in the US, since my affiliate site was for Amazon USA. Marketing Consultants United States -(800) 707-4084. From this point onwards I was in contact with The Coaching Department, and I Genesis Systems. I feel that perhaps the training and tech support Departments are legit, meaning they are really there to help one set up and build their affiliate websites. But as one gets deeper and deeper into this, I like am.. You spend more money and get desperate to try and make it work.

The next step lead me to a call that gave me the following website http://igenesissystems.com/ and access to The Coaching Department at http://www.thecoachingdepartment.com/contact-us. My "Advanced Training" through I Genesis cost me another $1,495 USD.   I am feeling so foolish, but so much of my time and money has been invested in this already, that everytime I sought help, I'd let these fast talkers, sales talk me or buy more time from me. This time, the package included Drop Shipping Listings (But they didn't explain that this was for eBay or retail online business, and can't or shouldn't be mixed with my existing Amazon Affiliate site!), and an eBay Listings Tool. It also included 6 months of coaching, 4 weekly active coaching, reactive followed by eLearning access. a "Director" Mr Carey Jacobs (carey@igenesissystems.com) who gave me this 888 475 1071 ext 0009 contact no. He sold this Start up package to me ($995) plus the eBay Listings Tool and Drop Shipping, I mentioned, for an additional $500. He made me feel like I had gotten a better deal than to spend for $1995 for their "Silver Package". So that's a total of $4,000 costs already. This was on Nov 13th 2012.

My new Trainer is a David Smith. Our first telephone training was scheduled for Nov 15th 2pm 2012. It was a 30minute call. He gave me his contact email  (david@thecoachingdepartment.com) and login info for the Supply Link and The coaching Department website (www.thecoachingdepartment.com). He gave me a list of To-Do's and webinars to watch and hasn't really been of much help since then. He just keeps going round and around about my Keyword Density and says my "being distracted" about wanting a retail site and his advise about not putting it together with my existing Affiliate site, as well as my Keyword Density numbers are reasons behind my site not making any money.  I emailed back to him and said I have been continuing to work on my site, including updating my Keyword density and online social media marketing Etc. And I don't agree with his line of reasoning.

Before this last exchange with Dave/David, I made a bigger mistake of trusting the I genesis Consultants again. I received a call from a David Bruce (1 888 475 1071) who said it was a special and "rare" call that they make to select sites who were [set up, done all you can] but still weren't making money. That was exactly my situation. He talked to me about putting Ads on my site that would help me earn every time visitors clicked on them. This was Google Adsense Ads. I've recently found out that you can sign up for these for free! But David said it would cost me a lot of money but he would try to help by seeing if my site was eligible for a "sponsor". He said he'd go and check and kept me on hold, building up the hype as I waited now and again, until he came back with "good news". He said a Cosmetics "giant who I may have heard of" called Maybelline, have agreed to sponsor my adsense on my site.

And what would usually cost $24,900 would now only cost me $2,500 (10%), since Maybelline would shoulder the rest of the costs under one condition: That I promise to keep the site updated at least once a week. I was totally broke at this point and really just wanted to make this whole venture work out, so with some going back and forth with David, he convinced me to go for it, after stating that this $2,500 fee, would include: my site being on the front page of Google for 30 days, updates weekly, and custom Press Releases about my business would be sent out. He said in 7-10days, I should see $100 checks/day start coming in.

He explained that every $100 earned, they'll send me a check plus a $1.99 handling fee but that I could later raise the check amounts to a couple of thousand dollars before they send them out, to make it more cost efficient. I expressed my fears and apprehension but he stated that I "couldn't lose" since Google searches for my niche were in the millions and that even if I just a fraction of that as traffic to my site, I could stand to make $3000 on my first month, and upwards of $6-$7000/month like another lady he had started on Adsense. Next steps were to get my website set up, and another man, called Bob Stone, an elderly man was to call me from this no. (888 475 1071 ext 004) to discuss payment account details with me, which he did.

The next couple of weeks leading up to the Holidays, I spent educating myself more about Adsense through Google's direct emails to the gmail address, Bob had set up for me. Everytime I called in to speak to Bob, he was either unavailable, away from his desk, or was just about to sign out and go home. He is a chatty, friendly old man, and said he was the oldest in their team. Seemed strange enough to me. But everytime I followed up and had doubts, the "Director" Carey Jacobs would call me directly and do his fast-talking, let me handle this situation for you spiel, and keep me at bay. But after I had left email and voice messages for a return call from them to follow up my so called, "Custom Press Releases" which didn't seem to exist or bring my site any traffic at all (outside of my own efforts through face book and twitter etc), I received an email with a link to the press release which lead to my latest letter (emails) of complaint:

Whom ever is in charge of the Press Releases, please edit my site's PR as the very first sentence is absolutely misleading and wrong:

"PRLog (Press Release) - Dec. 20, 2012 - Unlike most online webmalls, http://www.makeupbeautysource.com/ uses interactive virtual applications to give online users a sense of shopping as shoppers do when they visit the floors of a shopping mall to find things they need or just to window shop." I have no such 'interactive virtual applications' on my site. I had mentioned that this is something I would like to see there to my Trainer, on our very first phone conversation, when David gave me a list of assignments. Other than that, this is nothing but false information and goes against My ethics and everything I have learned from your webinars.

I am also following up on my complaint re: the $2500, a David Bruce, had got me to approve and pay up online for Adsense to be on my site, convincing me of a FALSE timeline of the ROI that I would expect to see based on being on the "front page of Google for 30 days" and based on him saying he had spoken to and got Maybelline, to sponsor the rest of
my costs. I made notes, I have our online invoice and I will be in touch with Maybelline again tomorrow.

I have spoken to fellow bloggers on Adsense, and they have never paid such a ridiculous amount to sign up for adsense, and to receive an obvious copy and paste Press Release that has resulted in no more traffic to their sites. This is misleading and totally fraudulent.

I have been working hard to continuously improve my Amazon Affiliate website, and following through with the webinars.

Why was I contacted by a said "Director" David Bruce, from I Genesis Consulting, contact no. 1888-475-1071 to say that the call is made to few who have done what they can but can't seem to be getting any sales off of their site. On Nov 26th 2012, David called me and put me on hold several times while he supposedly contacted a "major sponsor" in my niche..And told me that 'Maybelline' a cosmetic giant, had agreed to sponsor my site! The catch was that I needed to pay 10% of the cut or $2,500.00 to get:

1. Adsense ads on my website,
2. front page on Google for 30days, updates weekly
3.Custom Press Releases

All of which would drive in traffic ( he went on and on about how - even if it's 1% of the millions who search makeup and beauty on Google and come to my site, and perhaps click on my ads, he said I "can't lose") and said I should start seeing $100 checks coming in within the first 7-10business days upon starting. We even discussed Adsense payments schemes and he passed on Bob Stone's contact info to me. Bob was in charge of putting the adsense codes into my website's pages via my back office. I asked several questions and made clear my hesitancy and fears, and he deliberately mislead me.

And since no Press Release was sent to me to be pre-approved, aside from this one, 'http://www.prlog.org/12047219-merry-baguio-business-woman-starts-new-website-with-online-cosmetics-store.html' which I received AFTER I had followed it up, AND it contained the before mentioned FALSE statement about my site, .."Unlike most online webmalls, [my website] uses interactive virtual applications to give online users a sense of shopping as shoppers do when they visit the floors of a shopping mall to find things they need or just to window shop. ..."  which by the way, I had searched and seen written for another/other businesses with nothing different aside from our names- which appears to have been copy-pasted into this bogus cookie-cutter press release, which had virtually no affect on bringing my site any more (or fewer) traffic than MY personal attempts through Social Media marketing.

So, what was my $2,500 payment for, exactly? I have attached my invoice for your reference.

I want answers and a refund as soon as possible, or I will spread news of this scam onwards and inform relevant authorities if needs be. I will be back in contact with my so called "Sponsor", Maybelline first thing tomorrow morning, as well as Amazon Affiliate support and Adsense. I doubt very much that they have any knowledge of this. And I am furious that in my naivety and desperation- your staff seems to have taken advantage of me, and cost me this trouble and financial debt.

This is my complete report. A you've read, I am now $6,500 in debt after all the installments and upgrades. I can see that the webinars and trainers seem legit. They may be getting consultancy fees from I Genesis, and it shows because their expert advise often seemed to conflict with the get rich now steps that direct Genesis Training advised me/users to do. The sales team seem to get their pay from commission maybe? But I am so frustrated and ashamed to have spent this money and all my time, working on my website with them since May 2012. That's 8 months I could have spent that time working and actually earning. And $6,500CAD better of. I did this for my family. I am a freelance makeup artist and have been going through some difficult family situations. I can't believe I fell for this scam. Please help me get my money back and take these guys out of business! For the sake of others who have already been fooled by them here, and others who will be.
