I Sold It On Ebay Gaithersburg, Owner Mike Hadad Buy Back program is a big time rip off Gaithersburg, Maryland

This i Sold it on ebay location claims to have the buy back program, where you trade in your used cd, dvds, and video games for money. I read in a 2009 press release for the store, that you look up the price on their website and once in the store, they are supposed to give you that EXACT SAME PRICE right on the spot. It also says that the ebay store uses the BuyWare software to be able to pay you the advertised price for your pre-played dvd, cd, or video game.

The first time, about 2 weeks ago, I went into the store I brought a box of blu rays expecting to get the price thats quoted from the i Sold it website which was approximately $500, but once rung up they quoted me a price of $380. When I asked about the difference, they used the excuse that they use a pre-played system which gives you a certain price, but I know for a fact that the only thing that is pre played are the movies, cds, or video games, not the software.

So I printed out the 2009 press release today from the i sold it on ebay website where it is documented that the store uses "BuyWare" software and once you are given the quote on from the site, you are supposed to get THAT SAME price at the store. So, I printed out this documentation and brought it along with me with my second box of blu ray dvd's up to the store hoping to be treated more fairly due to having the proof in my hand.

However, I was sadly mistaken! The employee told me that the press release that was released in January of 2009 was false and that the franchise's website needs updated. He went on to say how they do not use any "pre-played" or "Buyware" software and are allowed to offer you whatever price they want! I was quoted a price of $429 from the website and after being scolded by the employee about how wrong the website was, I was offered $282 for my box of blu rays.

Both times I visited this store an employee of the name of Bryan services me telling me how wrong the website's information is, while the owner Mike Hadad stands around the corner quietly listening hoping to get away with this utter and complete rip off!

I never receive any type of printed receipt or documentation, of how many movies I brought in and the prices they gave to me. They would just look at the computer and enter the dvd's (or at least thats what I think their doing), and then tell me their price saying that the highest pay out they can give me and then they write me a personal check, no receipt or any type of the documentation recording my transaction.

Something really really fishy is going on up there, I will never return to that location, and truly hope you take this advice and don't visit this store either. Anytime you have printed out documentation of a franchise's policy and you go in the store and the employees tell you that its incorrect, that is very suspicious.

McDonald's is a franchise also and I have never printed out a coupon from their website and then went into a store to redeem it and the employee says they wont take it because McDonald's website hasnt been recently updated!?!??
