I came here  to sound the alarm after my flatmate got ripped off by this U.K. company that is so scammy they operate with many names. They sell TEFL training courses and give away fake teacher "internships" in China. The pitch goes like this "If you want to teach in China you don't have to be a teacher but you must 1) Speak English (true) and 2) Have a TEFL certificate (false). And if you shell out money for their course, only after you pay will you find out it is an online course with no instructor interface or lessons. Then after you get your certificate you will discover that 1) It is not recognized nor accepted in 139 countries and 2)It is not needed to teach in 127 countries! You will pay anywhere fropm $199 to $999 fo this worthless scap of paper. But they make you feel good about by guaranteeing you a teacher internship in China.

What they don't tell you is that what they get you, you can get for yourself online for free - A REAL TEACHING JOB IN CHINA! Then they just take 50% of your monthly salary for 6 months and convince you that your pay is half that of the other teachers because they are real teachers and you are only an "intern" !!!!!

If you google these creeps on line you will find two dozen complaints going back many years to 2007 and the teachers already here in China all joke about this gang as being the oldest China scam still going. I guess people are too lazy to google them. Here are the links so you won't have to:

Don't believe anything these people tell you. They have a very convincing web site but all those tesimonials are surely fake like Mr. Beare at About.com. Give me a break!
