Beware of doing business with Ideal Positions.  I was contacted by sales rep from Ideal Positions and told that he could guarantee my company's top position on Google, Yahoo, AOL, CNN, and a host of other websites, for a fee of $840.00 month.

They were successful in getting my company in top position for a period of 10 days, then I got a call from another manager at Ideal Positions telling me they couldn't afford to keep me in the top position, even though I have a contract where they GUARANTEE performance.  They also said they could cancel me out at anytime.

They then offered different, ineffective search terms at a reduced fee, but the contracted search term they had to sell to someone else for higher price.  I told them they were in violation of contract and all they said was that they could just cancel me and keep the money.  I told them to cancel me and never call again for their lousy business practice and lies.  I am holding my breath to see if I get refund.  In addition, for the entire 10 days they had me up, I never recieved a single call.   STAY AWAY FROM "IDEAL POSITIONS", they will lie to you and then rip you off.

Don't be so quick to rescind

AUTHOR: Barbara - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, July 15, 2010

They did exactly the same thing to me.  Even charged me the same $840 per month as they did you.  Called me 10 days later with the same nonsense and tried to blame Google for quoting them the wrong price.  Said it would cost me $4000 to stay where I was on the page.  Let's see...$840/$4000.  That's some mistake and I can't believe Google would be that off the mark.  And isn't it this company's job to KNOW how much it's going to cost?  Then your buddy Scott gave me 24 hours to find another SEO company and took my site off the internet entirely.  He also said he would post negative comments and have me "blacklisted" (by whom?) on the internet if I posted anything about them.   Screamed and yelled.  Of course he promised to refund my money, but based on previous performance I don't believe a word of this either, so I contacted the CC card.  In their opinion, what they did was breach of contract.  I think it's bait and switch.  Whatever you call it, it's a crappy way to do business.

Update to report on Ideal Positions

AUTHOR: england.electric@yahoo.com - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, March 03, 2010

FYI, as an update to my previous complaint about this company Ideal Positions, at least as they have responded to me, the problem seemed to stem from a new employee who handled the account wrong.  Subsequently, after a few months, I was contacted by the company VP Scott, who sincerely apologized and refunded all my money. I say to you who contemplate using Ideal Positions to get to the right people at the company, preferably Scott, and have your business optimized correctly the first time.  At this time I retract my initial report and suggest that you give them a try.
