Illumaderm Consumer Bait Internet

I ordered the 14 day trial of Illumaderm.  At the end of the 14 day period, I tried to contact the company to cancel.  The customer service phone number kept hanging up on me.  I sent an e-mail to cancel and received an automated response that I would be contacted within 24 hours.   Four days later no one had contacted me. 

The charge appeared on my credit card statement 2 days after I tried to cancel.  I called again today (May 24, 2017) and told them the story.  Of course, I was informed that there was nothing they could do about the charge because I failed to cancel within 14 days.  I was offered a 35% discount to continue and when I told them no, I was absolutely not interested, they then offered me a free bottle for the $89 I had been charged.  I refused that also, asked for a refund, was told that was not happening because I agreed to the terms and conditions.  Yes, I did, but their terms and conditions failed to mention that getting through to customer service would be nigh on impossible. 

Oh, and as a matter of interest, the product caused skin irritation, though they weren't interested to hear that, either!
