My wife and I gave our 5 year old daughter a trip to Disney for Christmas. We rented a home online through Imagine Vacations Homes owned by Randy Thomason.
Three weeks before our vacation, we get an automated email that the listing we put a deposit down on was no longer available. When we tried to contact the company, there was no answer and the voicemail was full.
We had local police go to the business only to find out they had shut down.
No one from the company has responded to numerous inquiries about the status of the deposit or rental. They have charged our debit card for the deposit, that much we know.
Randy once served as the President of the Central Florida Vacation Rental Managers Association, which has a "Code of Ethics",

I put a call into them and they were less than helpful in tracking down Randy so that we can resolve the issue of the "stolen" deposit.
We have already booked flights, at a considerable cost, and are now scrambling to find another place to stay.
