IMMIGRATION HELPLINE - LIBERTY IMMIGRATION SERVICES - LIBERTY LEGAL SERVICES - HARRIS COMPANY - JACK CHRIST BLATANTLY LIED REGARDING THEIR SERVICES - FRAUDULENTLY CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD - COMPLETE SCAM COMPANY - DO NOT TRUST! COLORADO SPRINGS Colorado

Do not use this company for any services at all - they are total frauds. I would like to say thanks to the previous two reports I found on this site about IMMIGRATION HELPLINE and its fraudulent activity - if I hadn't seen I might have continued services. Below is my experience.

10/13/08: Called 1-877-421-6678 and spoke to representative named JACK CHRIST (ext. 814). I was looking for info regarding filling out immigration papers and this representative came across as very helpful - he told me my situation would be easy as I could file for a fee waiver (same as the other person who filed a complaint on this site). He also made appointment for me to begin initial consultation and said he need my credit card # to schedule (NEVER GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD # SO EASY OVER THE PHONE) the appointment (on 10/17) - he told me their policy was not to charge your card until 30 days after services had been performed. This was an initial phone call only to set up an appointment - I had not received any services. My first warning should have been how little information he gave me regarding their terms and conditions.,

10/15/08: I had grown suspicious of what the rep had said on the phone about fee waivers and found online that I most probably would not be eligible for a fee waiver. I began to look for reviews of the company & all I found were reports of their fraudulent activity. At this point I became very worried and called back JACK CHRIST to cancel the appointment. I spoke to Jack over the phone and he told me to call back on 10/17/08 before my appt and that he would make sure the appt was canceled and that no charges would be put on my card.

10/17/09: I checked my credit card statement online and was shocked to see that my card had been charged $960 from HARRIS COMPANY on 10/14/08!! I HAD BEEN EXPLICITLY TOLD ON THE PHONE THAT MY CARD WOULD NOT BE CHARGED FOR 30 DAYS, YET THEY CHARGED MY CARD RIGHT AWAY. I immediately called JACK CHRIST and asked him to confirm that my appt canceled. At this point the discussion became bizarre - he began to raise his voice and yell at me saying that he never told me that they would not charge my card for 30 days, and furthermore he told me that they had a no refund policy and would not credit my card. JACK CHRIST BLATANTLY LIED TO ME OVER THE PHONE AND HAD THE GALL TO THEN YELL AT ME AND TELL ME THAT I WAS LYING HIM. He then hung up on me.

I immediately called back and spoke to LISA (ext. 801) in their customer service department. I explained my situation to her and she seemed to feign shock when I complained that a representative had given me wrong information and treated me so rudely. She took my number and promised to call me back right away after looking into the matter. SHE NEVER CALLED BACK. I repeatedly tried to contact them throughout the day and was put through to voicemail every time.

MY ADVICE: It is my belief after seeing the other complaints online that this company goes by several different names, and judging from the phone experiences of other people - that their representatives go by several different names to hide their identity. BE WARY OF ANY IMMIGRATION ASSISTANCE SERVICES FROM COLORADO SPRINGS, CO, as they might have different addresses listed as well as many websites posted.

If you have already started services with these frauds I urge you to cancel as soon as possible. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD #. If you already have, call your credit card company asap to dispute the charges and report fraud.

As I have discovered, NEVER PAY ANY SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF MONEY TO A NON-ATTORNEY FOR IMMIGRATION SERVICES. Immigration forms & procedures are way too complicated for anyone but a lawyer to give sound advice on.

I was shocked with this entire experience dealing with IMMIGRATION HELPLINE AKA LIBERTY IMMIGRATION (LEGAL) SERVICES AKA HARRIS COMPANY - I never expected anyone to ever be so blatantly dishonest with customers and try to take advantage of people who are often already in desperate situations. This company needs to be put out of business immediately & they people in charge need to fined or even jailed - what they are doing is criminal.
