During the later part of May, 2010 we found the following advertisement in a store brossure delivered to us in the La Times newspaper:        REFUND VALUE:

(Buy) ONE (1) 12 PK. of Tecate or Tecate Light                      $2.00   

        ONE (1) 18PK, 20PK. or 24PK of Tecate or Tecate Light    $4.00

        ONE (1) 30PK. of Tecate or Tecate Light                       $6.00

Mail required proof of purchase, original documents, etc. to: 

Inmar Rebate Center  -  Attn: Tecate Rebate  -  Program: HUSA#8267  -  PO Box 4260008

I went to the nearby "Rite Aid" store and purchased a case of 30 Tecate beer. Immediately mailed the required documents (Rebate Form-properly completed, Store Receipt - clearly documenting the purchase - and the barcode. The last sentence in their "Terms" states: Note: Allow 8 to 10 weeks for delivery of rebate check.Since nothing has arrived during the next 12 weeks, on Sep. 3, 2010 I again mailed a copy of my supporting documents to the address above. To date, I have not received neither the rebate check nor any correspondance from anyone.

Obviously, I am very angry - not about the few dollars (after spending 88 cents on stamps, it amounts to only $5.12) but the Ripoff, that these people may get away with. I am confident, that my case is not the only one!

I believe, that someone with authority should look into this case and justify what needs to be justified!

I have copies of all my correspondance with said company.

Today I filed a Repoff report and what do you know? A few hours later the mailman delivers me a postcard, stating that my request was denied due to the reasons listed:

1/ Register receipt not submitted or not an original.

2/ Reg Recpt did not contain a valid purchase date.

They instruct me to call 1-877-819-4280  or visit:

Yes, I understand, that now I have a phone number to call or an e-mail address to complain. But WHY!!!!!

This card evidently was a (late) response to my original complaint where OBVIOUSLY the information I submitted was a copy of the original.

Since my original submission of required material was faultless and complete this company is doing nothing else but banking on the idea, that a lot of people get fed-up with their game and just give up. They are con-artists!

Tomorrow I will call the number, they provided me with and tell them about this filing. Will see what happens.

Regardless of the outcome, their method of operation is (to be polite) distasteful.
