Step by Step experience about innovative apartments.
1.) Innovative Apartments and Screening Services
is a NO-FEE service, where they post phony ads and claim that the particular apartment is available and no broker fees.
2.) An unsuspected client calls the ad and a gentle sale person answers the phone "without even checking" or saying "yes it is still available" before you even get a chance to ask if an apartment is available.
3.) You walk into their office, they charge you $200 and change for a credit check and a background check. They givie you a bullshit number which is 646-265-3970 which leads to voice mail. They claim that they have more listings. 8 out of 10 phone numbers they give you is the following 646-265-3970 that leads to voice mail.
4.) You call their customer support, they give you listings of apartments which haven't been available for 6 months to 2 years.
5.) you ask for refund by they keep dragging it for a long time.
6.) You dispute the charges but they win because you are under a contract and the credit card companies don't know any better.
7.) You ask for a refund again and maybe they will give you back $60.
That is my experience with them, along with everyone elses experiences.

Owners of "Innovative Apartments" Arrested
AUTHOR: B.H. - (USA)
SUBMITTED: Saturday, October 10, 2009
Nader Jaber, one of the owners of the so-called "Innovative Apartments" listing service was arrested, along with three others, for scamming apartment hunters our of nearly one million dollars. You can read about it here: http://bit.ly/3EgXJ
Prior to his arrest, Nader Jaber posted a rebuttal here claiming that the original complaint was not typical of their customer experience. Actually, it was, and that's why he was charged with fraud.
#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company
Obviously not a Legitimate disgruntle client

The person who posted this complaint is obviously not a real client who had a bad experience with inapts.com, any client of ours who is dissatisfied is immediately taken care of with a reimbursement of the funds paid. We value our reputation and want to keep the renters of NYC happy. Finding an apartment is not easy and from time to time any rental company will have customers who are not happy with the type of units they are seeing for their budget. We do the best we can at initial sign up to make sure their criteria is feasible, however people charge their requirements and that sometimes poses a problem. That may be the case with this complaint.
If this was a legit complaint then the client would have known they could have received there money back if they would have just called our service manager, the person would have been at our office at least once. The address of the business is entirely incorrect in the complaint along with contact info so that's why I question the legitimacy of the complaint.
There is a lot of competition in this business and I wouldn't be surprised if it was a competitor.
If their is anyone that is interested in our service in finding a legit no brokers fee apartment and needs re assurance feel free to email me anytime. nader@inapts.com
