My first appointment was scheduled and I had a paper from them that was very clear that if I was late or a no show that there were financial consequences.  I arrived a few minutes early and was given paperwork to fill out.  I filled out the paperwork and handed it in.  The office staff were polite and efficient.  Then I waited in the waiting area for 1 hour and 20 minutes.  I could hear the office staff visiting with one another about personal things. 

One of the office staff then invited me to join her to go to a room.  When we arrived in the room she began asking me the same questions that were on the question sheet that I had already filled out.  I asked her if she would review the paperwork that I filled out.  She got edgy and apologized for my long wait time.  What she does not know is that I was thinking that rather than visiting about personal things she may have wanted to view paperwork that pertained to her next case. Because of that I decided to go to another sleep study company.  Due to them being so far away from my home I went back to Innovative Sleep Center. I did a one night sleep study at Innovative Sleep Center and my sinuses got fried.  Seriously burned and it took 4 days for them to get better.  I was told that not much if any water is used in the system during their sleep studies. -The technician that set me up for the sleep study at one point grabbed the top of the head gear and gave it a good pull.  That hurt my nostrils very much.

Once my machine was assigned to me and set up I began to use it.  The person that set up my machine and went over the use of it was very thorough.  I did tell her that the mask was uncomfortable and she said just suck it up and get use to it.  While she was setting up my machine she talked about a lot of personal things.  Her son is in the military and she was in the military, she recently had to be in the hospital and that she shops quite a lot on Amazon and on line.

I asked to purchase a SoClean 2 to clean the equipment with and she got a bit agitated because it was going to take time to make the invoice and show me how to use the SoClean 2. I told them that I decided to wait.  Because of all of her shopping talk about buying on the internet I thought I would take a look and compare prices.  I did find the SoClean 2 for $68.00 cheaper, no shipping fees and so I purchased it on the internet. 

The mask that I had sets in the nostrils and is very uncomfortable.  If you move your head while wearing it then the nostril pillows pull on your nostrils.  So moving while you sleep is very uncomfortable and it woke me up a lot.  Even with being uncomfortable and in pain from the mask I used it 80 percent for 30 days. When I told this to the technician she asked what kind of mask do you think you need?  I told her that if she were at my shop and told me of a problem that I would use my knowledge to help her.  She shot out of her seat and said I think I know what will work and left the room.  She brought in a different mask, called a Wisp.  I tried it on and it felt way more comfortable.  She gave it to me and changed my prescription to reflect the Wisp mask.

I wore the Wisp mask that night and had the best sleep and the App on my phone had way better AHI numbers. - While on the internet shopping for the SoClean2 I saw what they charged for the same equipment that I had just picked up.  To my amazement it was $1474.20 delivered to me.  Innovative Sleep Center invoiced me for $5000.49.  They had on their invoice many items that were included in the sale from the other company.  This over bloated the price of their offered invoice. - I told the technician at Innovative Sleep Center about the price difference and she became upset with me.  Rather than lowering their price she was telling me that I needed their equipment.  I asked if I can buy my machine elsewhere and have them be my care for adjustments of the machinery.  She said; "Why". - So in her saying why, I figure that I am not really getting medical care from them.

We reviewed my 30 day use and my AHI was a bit high.  I asked if she could adjust their machine.  She said; "you are in acceptable parameters".  So apparently having more than better parameters is not important.  Gosh, I was hoping for even better sleep.

At the end of our appointment I told her I was going to purchase a machine from elsewhere.  She was very upset with me.  She said I could not return their machine unless I had another machine to replace it.  She told me that I would have to sign REFUSAL OF MEDICAL TREATMENT form.  She also said that their new billing cycle begins tomorrow and was smiling and giggling.   I told her that is fine.  She wrote me a new prescription because one is required for the purchase from the other company. - The very next day my new machine arrived from the internet company arrived I was at work.  My husband took their machine and the new machine to their office to return the old machine. 

The Tech made my husband sign a REFUSAL OF MEDICAL TREATMENT form.  I was lied to by that very same technician.
