Insight Global An unethical company to say the least Cincinnati Ohio

I'm a 30 year veteran in the IT business and had been commuting 3 hours per day at 184 miles each day. I had a good full time job with full benefits and the work was decent, just the drive was hard on me. So out of the blue this company calls me and tells me that they have a full time position just 14 miles from my home. So I take the bait and when the company of interest makes an offer to this contract company they then tell me that they'll only take me on a 6 month to hire deal but don't worry we've placed lots of people here that go full time in 6 months. So I say all right, I currently have 4 weeks vacation time, 6 sick days, and 3 PTO days where I am, can you match that? We can match the 4 weeks vacation but not the sick or PTO days. All right, I have all holidays paid, can you match that? We can work something out with our payroll specialist. I also have Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, a full benefits package at my current job, can you match that? Oh sure we have all of that.

So get on with the company and the job is nothing close to what was described to me and I didn't ask about parking because it didn't dawn on me because the company I was contracting to had their own garage so my first day I found out the hard way that I had to pay for parking and that I couldn't park in the companies garage, that's just for employees. I argued this with the Insight Global rep and she said well, because you didn't bring it up we didn't have to tell you. Strike one. Let me back up a bit, after I had turned in my resignation with my previous employer, I was filling out my paperwork for Insight Global, I texted the rep and asked where the paper work was for the medical, dental, vision, etc, oh you don't get to apply for any benefits until 60 days. Strike Two. I also found out during this time that they don't pay holidays, so we agreed on 5 additional PTO days to cover holidays, so, 4 weeks vacation days plus 5 PTO days, you got that?

So, Memorial day comes and goes, I get on the time tracking tool that Insight Global uses for payroll and there's no catagory for vacation or PTO time. I text the rep, no response, I call the company headquarters in Atlanta listed as payroll and benefits, a sales rep answers and proceeds to tell me, "dude,,,we don't pay for any vacation or benefits here, you only get paid the time you work, it's that simple". So I said, dude I don't care how simple you think it is, I want to speak to your payroll specialist now!! He hung up on me.

So now I'm 3 weeks into this nightmare and now I know for sure me and my family are in trouble. The local rep finally texts me back at 2:30 in the afternoon and says she'll have an answer for me by the end of the day. I leave at 4. She gets back to me, not knowing that I had already talked with her Atlanta headquarters and says,"Just put in the hours you worked and I'll have the payroll specialist put in the 8 hours of PTO time for Memorial day". Strike Three.

So here I am 3 weeks into the worst contract I have ever experienced in 30 years in the business and the best that I can hope for is that it won't last long. I'm out all benefits from my previous employer, so my family has nothing for benefits now, I'll have to cancel our family vacation and figure out a way to pay for medical costs on my own.

The Attorney General for the State of Ohio will hear about this company and hopefully an indictment will follow.
