Intelius, 24protect Plus rip off coded in a privacy maters, not privacy policy hiden in the tiny grey print at bottom of the page, 14.95 a month for NOTHING La Quinta California

I did a question on yahoo and got a very informed answer and would gladly send it to anyone asking, but, I was ripped off by intelius "note i didn't capitolize the name" these guys are SCUM. I was looking to find out a name to go with a number that was calling my wifes cell phone she did not know or like.

I checked around and intelius was the cheapest. I paid my 5.95 and got nothing. I later called them and complained I hadn't gotten any info and they happily refunded my 5.95. I did double check at that time and therre would be no further charges or contact due to my dissatisfaction. I found out a week ago I had a charge I did not recognize on my bank statement, I called them and they informed me it was 24protect plus and had to cancel my bank card and reissue a new one, and looked back and they had scammed me out of $135.00 give or take a dollar over the last 9 months.

I called them to get a refund, and while trying to get thru to a real person which is impossible on the first call I was kicked to a recording that said I could cancel my membership but would be billed a dollar amount that they never told me it cut to a recording that gave their web address and hung up on me. I called back and finally spoke to a real person who was very polite and wouldn't tell me where they had stolen my credit card info from and politewly canceled my membership and hung up on me without answering a single question.

I have since then spent hours following up on the leads given to me by a kind good samaritin who answered my question and gave me a bunch of leads and links to follow up on this, without even a name I can say thank you to. To anyone who might read this you get what you pay for and RUN away from anything resembling intelius or 24protect. Your money depends on good your good judgement.
