International Society Of Poetry ripoff Internet

Ok I will join the millions of you who have reported. Yes I have submitted 2 poems to them on Poetry.com and they are in their database, so no problem there.

I have received the numereous letters saying I have been slected, and you are invited to the convention ect. Fortunely I have never had the money to pay for those conventions so I never gave them anything that way, good thing uh?

I was slected to be put in one of their books called Poet's Eliete Best Poets of 2000. Yes I did give them a poem and yes I did send them the $25.00 to have a short biogrophy of me done, but never ordered the book. So based on what most of you have said, by now ordering the book more then likely my poem was never published in the first place.

I to would be very courious as to what all goes on at those conventions Do they really pay the Grand Prize of $20,000? One would think that all the money they get from people going ($640.00 +) they could sure pay that and then some. Please if anybody has been to these conventions lets here of yoru experiences.

To the person mentioning the old "World of Poetry" I remember that. I did on that buy a book which did have my peom in it along with hunderds of others, and yes small type as well. And yes I did attend their convention which at that time was out in Las Vegas.

I think the Guest Speaker was Milton Berle and yes he was there. and I did get a somewhat tall pyirmid looking Crystal Statue with a thin looking paper or metal plate inside saying World of Poetry on it and the name of my poem engraved on a gold plate at the bottom, maybe some of you have got them too, let me know.
