Sickened by the False Advertisement given by the Internet Treasure Chest

To begin this little episode we watched the T.V for several nights anxiously waiting for the commercial for this BIG MONEY MAKING adventure. But to my surprise my spouse and I were at first anxious to get started. Nothing was needed to get started but a computer. So we are off to mail a check to them for the amount of 71.95 which included shipping and handling. It stated on the web site that we needed at least a 56k modem so we went and bought the nicest computer that we could to run a "WEBSITE" through the Internet Treasure Chest. I was curious one day as to the website stating 2-3 weeks and so we called, speaking to a guy whom had no name(didnt give us his name) at the long distance number 1-615-449-8877, which again cost us money. While checking on the arrival of our money they had received it and we were told we would receive the package in about a week or two. Mind you it has already been 3 weeks since it was mailed.

We waited and was surprised to find our package left on the front porch. We quickly opened the package and we received a VHS movie, 3 books and some pamphlets, a activation sheet for us and a CD to install online capability thru Earthlink. I asked my spouse where is all the extra stuff that was suppose to be sent with this order, he didnt know and we tried to call the number given it wasnt working.

So I sat down and popped the VHS movie into the VCR and to my surprise I really expected a better made demonstration. So I sat down to my computer and we decided on a WEB PAGE NAME, filled out all the registration information and it came to a page that stated payment method, we chose Electronic check(not knowing we needed a checking account to do this--risk free for 30 days..

We dont own credit cards and so I decided to do more research on this and I read all the information given by ITCTV.COM and came up with nothing stating that we needed a Credit Card or a Checking Acct.
I made some calls and the operator answered the phone hello. Shocked that she said hello I asked is this the Internet Treasure Chest and she said YEAH!..Still shocked at her tone I asked who do I speak to about not having a credit card or a checking acct. to do this online business with them. She replied
"What? You need a credit card or a checking account to do this online? I said yes you do because we went throught he whole entire registration process and got to this page and it wouldnt let us go any further. She immediately replied " Well if I would of known you needed that I wouldnt of ordered that thing either. I told her now Im out of my shipping money(12.95) to return the product to them and it is going to cost me an additional 12.95 to send it back. So a total of 25.90 we are in the hole because of FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!!!She redirected my call to a lady whom was so quick to judge me and talked so fast I couldnt get her name. I explained to her what was going on and she said just call this number, rattling the number so fast it needed to be repeated. I got the number 1-615-449-8877, and of course the advertisement said 24 hours a day support and the only work from I believe the recording said 8a.m.-7p.m. central time, Im EASTERN TIME. It sickens me to think that companys are doing this and my money is keeping them in business. I am very angry and I hope that if anyone trys or hears this knows that the people that they have working for them are not knowledgable people.

I WILL be contacting the Better Business Bureau on them and hopefully others wont fall for there scams as we did.

Completely Scammed and Asheamed to admit it!!!There should be laws for companys doing this to innocent people.
