smashmanor Failed to Pay New Rochelle NY

Brian Merritt posted an ad on craigslist to which I responded. Said he had to go pick up money at a church for construction work he was involved with. My end of the bargain was at least $100. There was also a promise of more work. I was just tryin to make a little extra cash that day. He never went into his pocket for tolls, said he'll take care of me later. Got to the place (Our Lady of Victory Church in Floral Park, LI). Gets out of the car after I park, had his wife (Elena) and 8 yr old kid (who's autistic) in the backseat, the wife hardly said a word yet was really chatty as we waited for him. I should of followed him in. My mistake. He comes back minutes later and tells me the person he was picking the money up from wasnt there? We will have to come back tomorrrow? On the way back he nor his wife went into their pockets for tolls, never gave me anything for gas, even after I ask. Before dropping him off I told him I'll call him that night to confirm the follow up trip the next day. He never answered. Sent him texts galore. Call the church and speak to the pastor, turns out he did pick up money that day I drove him there, in the form of a donation. What a f**king liar. 

Finally get him on the phone says he lost my number? Nasty text's ensue, cheap threats (the guy is 5'2"). I had told him to just reimburse me for the tolls and gas, to which he scoffed. Too make a long story short, I'm not getting paid. 

Never met such underhanded people in my life. What a scum bag to also involve his wife and kid in this scheme and his wife for commitiing to it and putting his kid in danger. What a poor example of a man and father. The world would be better off without people like this in it. Their day will come.
