Interstate Power Systems (Williston) We had the worst experience ever dealing with these guys. Whatever you do, do not go to Interstate Power Systems. They have held our tractor trailers hostage for several months. Stated they did work, we paid them, then picked the trucks up, they are not drivable, then tell them to get it done, so we can get it on our jobsites, then, moving forward, told time and time again, our trucks would be ready, then show up, they are not, then they hold them several more weeks, and then we show up daily and call daily, and they inform us they do not know what the mechanic has done, and would need to wait for that mechanic. They then said he did not leave notes for anyone who would take this on.  Then they eventually after 6 weeks or more, decided to have another mechanic start from Scratch to find out what work was done, and then this only after we had paid them several thousands of dollars to find out that these vehicles were looking as though nothing had been done, then they could not even inform us what had been done, only we had a bill to pay, and could not release them without paying it.  Then we pay it, and still appeared that nothing had been done to them.  Then They promise to make things right and it is done again, and we show up to find them parked in their Lot Across the Street. They parked one of our tractor trailers right in a Driveway Access, where other tractor trailers move in and out, and this was somewhat blocking them from going in and out without being hit by another one.  In this case, one did hit the vehicle, and kept going.  So, we were informed that our vehicles were ready, we brought several drivers and our In House Mechanic to the location, and found that the work appeared to still not be done, and as we were pulling up, noticed the Mechanic with a Blow Torch Machine attempting to (What we feel), cover up what had just happened, and the VP of Interstate Vince Story had called right as we were pulling up, asking me how I was doing. This case, I told him not very well, as I just Pulled up to my tractor trailer that was in an accident while in their care, and that I had not been notified, yet their mechanic was working on it to make it look like nothing ever happened.

Then, we again found that things were not done to it, and their manager Jim had come out to speak to us, and said he was truly sorry about this, and wanted to do everything right to fix this and to make this issue right.  Then we informed him that we DO NOT expect to pay any further for work on this trucks, and that anything that they did to them from this point on, would be at their cost, and that would be how they could make it right by us.  He agreed to these terms.

Then, we were informed that our trucks were again done, so we brought our drivers out again to pick them up, and they were not able to release them due to a bill. So we had to also drive there again and review the bill, that we were not ever supposed to receive.

We were issued a bill that was roughly $20,000 for having DOT Work done on them, that we did not authorize to be done, if it were going to cost us anything. Our deal was to not pay further for any work, yet we ended up with this after agreeing to that.

Then, they charged us $13,000 out of that and stated that they did not charge for labor. This again, on the work that We informed them, we would not be paying any further to them, and would be having our mechanic take care of it in the next day or two if needed.

Then, we were also never issued a written estimate of those charges so that we could have the opportunity to approve or decline any of these charges. So, the work, if charged should have not ever been done, until such an approval was done.

So, at this time we cannot recommend Interstate Power Systems of Williston for any work what so ever. Our Mechanic was speaking to their Mechanics and compared to him, they were amateurs.

It was been like going to Walmart or McDonalds for something. It is maybe okay for a quick fix, but for the real stuff, you want to go somewhere else.

Prior to going to Interstate, beware of these issues. We have met other Owner/Operators and Fleet Owners, with these same issues with Interstate.

We have a Mechanic that we would be happy to use him for working on your trucks to keep them rolling. No waiting a few months or a year to get your truck back. We can get it done now.

Also, we are hiring Drivers, and Owner/Operators, and Fleet Owners.

 Thank you.

Update!!!!

AUTHOR: Truck Guy - ()

POSTED: Friday, August 23, 2013

Due to the overwhelming response from the posting to The Ripoff Report, this entity has decided to make a compromise on the subject matter.

All parties have agreed this is in the best interest of everyone involved.

They first demanded the removal of this article, however, the ripoff report does not allow this, so they requested a rebuttal to be posted prior to consenting to the release of the trucks.

As this is being resolved to the satisfaction of all parties involved we have also agreed to post the Rebuttle Set Forth, in the good faith that this will not happen again, and that all parties have come to a viable agreement to resolve these issues.

We do appologize for the drastic measures, however, when we had mentioned that if they would not even look at this, nor do what was right, we would protest by means of the Internet, we were instructed to do so by the CEO of Interstate, and we went with his recommendation to "Do what you need to do".

Now that we have done so, we have seen the resoulution that could have taken place, without taken steps to proceed to the next level.

In regards to the claim about interstate power in williston north dakota.  The person who posted did not have the right or authority to do so.  Also the claims suggested were not accurate and completley blown out of porportion.  Every issue that claimed to have happened was resolved very professionally and with good taste.  All of the work performed was done to our satisfaction.  We have a good relationship with them and plan on doing more business with them.
