I signed up for a Go Payment Merchant account, which according to Intuit, is free.  The website is found here: https://merchant.intuit.com/signup/start.wsp;jsessionid=1D281C44040A3F5DED2CB15FF3A36D44.merchant_imsap06.

The pricing information they provided, which they claimed was printed all over their site, said that it was free of charge (found here:  https://merchant.intuit.com/signup/start.wsp;jsessionid=1D281C44040A3F5DED2CB15FF3A36D44.merchant_imsap06).

I should have realized that any company that automatically directs me to a page asking for my bank account number is suspicious, but the company seemed to have a big name.  Naively, I provided the information.  Other than an email stating that Intuit would look at my application, I received no further contacts from Intuit until I found a charge for 59.99 to my bank account.  When I called Intuit, the representatives were extremely rude.   Claimed that I went through the wrong page and signed up for the QuickBooks integration account even after I gave them the web addresses above.  I knew exactly which pages I went through because I still had them bookmarked on my computer. In addition, I don't even own QuickBooks.  Why the heck would I sign up for the program?  They would not work with me to refund my money back or change my account to the GoPayment.  They instead claimed that the GoPayment came with the QuickBooks integration.  Nowhere on their site was this ever stated.  They claimed that I knew exactly what I was doing and knowingly signed up to be charged 59.99 along with a monthly fee of 19.99.  One rep told me that they don't rip off people, yet refused to change my account or refund my money. When I demanded to speak with a manager, they hung up on me.  They claim that they work to provide small business owners with affordable solutions, but seems like what they really do is PREY OFF SMALL BUSINESSES to keep themselves in business.  As a small business owner, I don't make very much after paying bills.  It is very irritating to know that there are people out there who prey on the small, struggling working person.  STAY AWAY FROM INTUIT!
