I 11/28 I applied for alternative teaching certification at iTeachTexas and paid the application fee. I have not received satisfactory service and my application has not been processed. I attempted to contact them to check on the status of my application. I could see the application fee had been processed by my bank, but I still had not received any confirmation from them or reply to emails. On Dec 3 I completed a 'contact us' for on their website from which I finally received a reply on Dec 6 giving me login information to check the status. From this I learned I needed to send an official transcript from my college where I had graduated. I did this immediately, as time is of the essence and already a week had gone by. The application status was updated on Dec 19 saying my application was received. Then a few days later I checked the status again and there was a vague message that said I must contact my college and request an updated transcript or a letter showing my GPA. I wrote back asking if this was unusual, and they have my grades and the information to calculate the GPA and complain that I have already been delayed. I received a defensive reply saying that if I did not want to participate in the program that my application was not refundable. I have only been trying to get them to do their job, calculate my GPA and move ahead with the application process without further delays on their part. I am glad I learned of their uncooperative business practice before investing additional funds and would like to notify others who may be looking at applying at iTeachTexas to not waste their time with this sorry excuse for a company. I have never in all my life found such disrespect and uncooperation with a business. Be warned to not do business with iTeachTexas. They will argue and say you are wrong and say that you did receive the login information after applying. I want to warn anyone who is looking at using iteachtexas for alternative teaching certification to continue looking as this company will only waste your time and delay you at every turn and not accept responsibilty for their own issues.

Upon submission of an application, an automatic email is sent along with the user's login information posted on the same screen of the application submission. Log in information is provided at the time an application is submitted.
An Application Process Timeline is posted on our website under TEACHER APPLICATION PROCESS as an aide to help individuals know what steps are needed:

The individual has received this information via email as well with a satisfactory response provided by her at 10:40 pm on December 5th.
"Thank you. I was able to log in and see I must now submit my transcripts."
It is clearly posted that transcritps are needed as part of the application and admission process.
Regarding transcripts,the individual did submit transcripts to iteachTEXAS on December 19th. Our admission team evaluated her transcripts on December 22nd, a content area was identified based upon her undergraduate degree.
Additional information was requested, since the individual's university did not provide her overall graduating GPA on her transcripts.
As posted to our website:
Minimum 2.50 grade point average
This will be determined in one of the following ways:
Minimum 2.50 GPA (your undergraduate GPA as posted on conferred degree transcript), or
Minimum 2.50 GPA in last 60 hours.
Your graduating GPA must be calculated and posted by the university on your official transcripts. If your final transcript does not reflect a graduation GPA, you will need to contact your college's Registrar office to have a letter typed on University letterhead that includes your GPA sent in with your official transcripts.
The individual has been and continues to receive services from iteachTEXAS for her application. In review of all correspondence, the individual has received prompt and professional service. All but one email was answered on the same day, a phone call to her on New Years Eve while our office was closed and continue support from myself have been provided. iteachTEXAS continues to serve her but we have requested additionally information to complete the evaluation process that is part of our admission requirements. If the individual does not wish to follow admission requirements that were clearly stated prior to her submission of her application, that is her decision. We are not asking anything more of her other than to follow the posted admission requirements and have her university post her GPA on her transcripts.
