PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR THESE SCAMMERS I WAS ROBBED BY THIS COMPANY!! THEY WAIT UNTIL YOUR BELONGINGS ARE ON THE TRUCK AND THEN DEMAND MORE MONEY AND THEN RAISE THE PRICE FROM YOUR ESTIMATE BY THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS.PHYLLIS, DENNIS AND TOD ARE LITERALLY THIEVES.

I never write reviews, but I would never want anybody to go through the horrors that I had to go through.

I was quoted by Uptown Moving and Storage for a long distance move to Arizona right under $4000 over the phone and went back and forth on calls with the sales rep to confirm that the quote provided was accurate and gaurenteed.  They will claim the quote they gave you was incorrect, but I sent the sales rep at Uptown Moving and Storage the size of my storage unit along with pictures and even a VIDEO to show what the inventory was.

They picked up my items, said NOTHING to me had me sign a pile of empty paperwork they called a "contract" they  did not contact me for weeks, they took $500 deposit from me to load items on truck, and then DAYS LATER called to tell me it was more money than they anticipated and that they would not deliver my belongings unless I paid an addition $4,700!! Not $400, but over 4 THOUSAND DOLLARS. Obviously the person that quoted me for the move was in on this scam and they wait until they had possession of my belongings before telling me that they need more money. I called them in tears telling them I do not have that kind of money to pay them, along with everything I own, and they refused to work it out with me unless I paid $4,700 MORE than my signed contract.

I was warned about moving companies, and I am usually do my research about these types of matters, but I trusted the man I spoke with over the phone and even told him about my concerns. He reassured me and said that "unless I had a piano I failed to mention then the price would not change". Not only did it change it doubled!
