J & L Mechanical Well Drilling & Pump Services Company is a very unethical company to do business with.. On March 26th 2014 we had this company come to our home and put in a water tank system.. Leon Hughes and a worker Bobby put in a water heater that shouldn't go in our home... Leon put a water heater in our home that needed to be vented out the roof. Leon cut the old elecrtical vent system off the old water heater and placed it on top of the new unit. This vent system was not plugged in or attached to the new water heater tank.
All the plumbing did not meet code or the lines to the gas line didn't meet code. With in 10 minutes of Leon leaving I had water spraying all over my basement ceiling and the smell of gas was present. I called and called Leon tyring to get him to return and fix the problem. The smell of gas was all upstairs in our daughters room. I had pointed to the gas line and told Leon I do not want any kinks in this gas line and I want you to make sure there is no gas leaks.
Leon Hughes has never come back to home to fix any problems. We had no water for 48 hours so we were forced to call another company to get a new water heater put in. We had to drain two water heaters and remove them from the house.. 1) your old water heater he left and the new one Leon installed. The new company spent 8 hours cleaning Leons mess up. We have called and called over and over to get Leon Hughes to come and pick up the water heater and bring our money back.
Leon has told us that he would be here a least 6 times and has never showed up. Leon and Bobby did terrible work and Never give them money in advance!!! We are still waiting for Leon to show up and give our money back to us and take this water heater.. This company does not hold to it's service work and does very faulty work.. We have so many pictures and phone records and texts to make a very good claim. Please do NOT use this company..

J&L Mechanical replaced my well pump 2 years ago. It stopped working yesterday, and we had them come back out this morning. I reminded Leon that they replaced my pump 2 years ago, and he told me they have never been to my property before. I spoke with him for 30-45 minutes when they replaced my pump, and he was quick to bash local well companies for their unsavory practices while pumping up his own services. How can you not remember being at a property?
They were very quick to cash my check the first time, but now I have never been their customer. In fact, they just called again to confirm they checked records and they have never been to my property. Well, I have records that say otherwise. These guys may come across as doing you a favor or saving you money, but they are nothing but cons selling you a load of crap. Put them out of business!

Leon Hughes with J&L Mechanical Well Drilling and Pump Services resolved an issue with my well when another company charged me three times as much and did not resolve the problem.
Leon always came when he said he would or called to explain the delay. He was very knowledgeable and explained what he was doing and why. He educated me that we should always call a company that specializes in wells when we have an issue with the well or the pipes to the well. He called me in the evening after everything was completed to make sure I was not having any issues.
I read this report after he helped me or I probably would not have called him.
