Women who are looking to land a rich husband are easy targets for scam artists like Janis Spindel.

Her database of men are very, very desperate.  The women who pay her are gullible fools. The two combined makes for a easy way for this lady to squeeze money from people who will never benefit from her services.

She is eking out a living ( new york style) by the fees the women pay to meet her for a chance to be possibly set up.  Her time is mainly spent on getting PR ( she's a great liar, I must say).

Her "team" are just people whom she hires to fix up/improve the possible matches. Other than her family members who work for her, they are just outside consultants who do the one or two coaching/ facial injects/ wardrobe fixing.  You are basically paying Janis an outrageous amount of money to get an image/cosmetic makeover/photos taken just to meet men who are of a lesser quality than you will find on match.com.  For a fraction of her fees, you can do this on your own.

Notice that she doesn't even have an nyc address listed on her website? ( other to state Janis Spindel headquarters) That's because she works from her drab home and can't afford a real office. This alone should scream "red flag".  Think about it. If she is as sucessful as she claims, she would have a REAL office.

Re: the other comments here about her nasty personality are all true.  She is crass, unclassy and will say terrible things about you behind your back.
