This is a well known, long running scam

AUTHOR: FloridaNative - (USA)

It is a scam.  Any stranger that asks you to wire funds through Western Union (or Money Gram) or any other similar wire service with the promise to increase or double the amount you are sending is a scammer. Go to the FTC.gov website and read up on scams so you can learn about and detect one before you are ripped off.  There is no easy money to be made by sending your hard earned funds to a stranger to "double" for your benefit.
