In February of 2011, I "met" Jayson Fleury on Facebook. He was trying to get justice for all the poor, marginalized aboriginal women who are missing/murdered women. His younger sister, Mona Lee Wilson, was BC serial killer Robert Pickton's final victim. After several months of talking on the phone and chatting on Facebook, he talked me into coming out to Vancouver Island to visit him at the end of April. Once I got there, he was extremely verbally abusive and controlling. He coerced me into driving him across Canada in a rental car, even though he knew I couldn't afford it.

I only had a little bit of money I had saved from salvaging scrap metal during a period of very long-term unemployment, and what little money I had left I needed for paying for two follow-up ophthalmologist visits as a low-income and uninsured newly diagnosed glaucoma sufferer. But he insisted that he'd "have it covered" and he became very forceful about it. He was very intimidating.

I had no money left by the time we reached Edmonton, where his sister (Lisa Bigjohn) lives. She and her daughter Suellen helped me with some gas money and advised me to ditch Jayson there. Suellen told me that Jayson had done this several times before, scamming people to get rides back and forth across Canada to party and that his most recent abduction-by-deception victim before me was a 17 yr-old girl whom he also met through Facebook. Jayson Fleury is 47 yrs-old. He uses Facebook as a way of preying on people, and he uses various social justice issues as his platform. After finding other women who had also been ripped off and victimized by this same man, I learned that Jayson blocks/deletes FB friends after scamming them and ripping them off (as he had done with me).

I tried to leave him there at his sister's but couldn't when he caught me trying to sneak out early to leave him behind. My next plan was to then leave him at the last rest-stop before the US/Canada border and proceed home to Erie, Pennsylvania by myself. However, a freak snow and ice storm blew up from the Dakotas and the 401 was closed from Regina, SK all the way to Ontario and we were detoured by provincial police.

My hell ride across North America with this 6' 4" lunatic ended when he left me stranded in the middle of downtown Toronto around May15 2011 with strangers. I had no money, no gas, and no food. I had no one I to call to help me get back home to Erie, PA.

If not for the people at the Native Canadian Friendship Center in Toronto raising funds for me, I don't know how I would have gotten home or IF I would have made it home. I am out a total of $1,300 in rental car costs plus gas because of Jayson Fleury. That was all the money I had left to my name. I am long-term unemployed without steady income.

Jayson Fleury is Saulteux-Cree. He has tried to pass himself off as a "Mohawk Warrior" and has told people that he was a Mohawk from Alberta. He is a sociopathic grifter. I have since learned of several other women he scammed out of money.
