JBL Real Estate Jeremy Landsman and Jeff Landsman They call themselves developers but they are really drug-dealing slumlords who lie and scam small business owners into spending their life savings to fix up buildings they are already locked into Baltimore, Maryland

Show customers why they should trust your business over your competitors...

They buy properties in desperate need of repair, apparently with drug money, and lie about the state of the building, from electrical, plumbing, windows, doors, heating and air, and even zoning and code violations.  They say they will do the work or at least the demo needed but conveniently leave it out of leases that use language so complicated that even a friend who is a lawyer with an MBA had no idea what it said, so how would the average small business person?  They pray on mom and pop business people with a dream and tell them what they think they want to hear, then turn around and bleed them dry to improve the properties after they are already in a lease.  I was made to believe that the property was up to code for my business with "modern" heating/air conditioning (which turned out to be 20 years old).  They will NOT do repairs they are responsible for, though they say they are "on it" and will try to charge you for bogus gas and electric and other "common area" bills.  I researched them before I signed the lease, but their dishonest ways hadn't caught up with them yet.  I would say both men are sociopaths with no conscience as now the son is involved in a huge drug trafficing and money laundering case.  No property is worth what you will lose doing business with these dirt bags.

Properties in poor condition are for lease all over baltimore city.  It is normal for tenants to build out properties they are leasing for their own use.   This is one of the benefits of commercial real estate. Think about it.  Do you think landlords really build business spaces, sometimes they offer some money when there is a new development or there is a really good national tenant with a long lease. But not with mom and pops. It is also normal for tenants to be in triple net leases where they are responsible for most of the repairs.
so far no foul play here.
It is my opinion that the individual writing this felt sour about the way his deal went down, everyday people use their hard earned money or take out loans to build out commercial properties so they can open their business, if the business fails is it the landlords fault?   This business owner should have waited to find a property that was already set up for the type of business they wanted to open. Most likely this person was in over his/her head and got talked into building the space out and was not business savvy.   They should have asked the landlord for help and then moved on if help was not offered offered. This is the real world time to put your big boy pants on and be aware of what your are getting yourself into especially if your life savings are on the line.  They should have had the property inspected as well.

Jeff Landsman has never been accused or convicted of doing anything illegal he left JBL years ago and is in the food industry.   The statements about him are defamatory and libelous.  Probably a good idea for this website to remove the report.
