My partner purchased an engagement band/diamond which included a lifetime warranty with the stipulation that i brought my ring in every 6 months to get cleaned. I got it cleaned every 6 months until I could not find a store location anymore even driving across then state (as I had) or I would have gone out of state!.

I then took the ring to a different store where they gave the option to replace the ring with one of the store's rings in order to get a warranty.  The stipulation was the quality of what I would be trading in meets the store standards of minimal quality, then receive the amount it is worth, and buy a new ring/diamond for twice the decided amount.  So, I would end up paying double the original purchased price.  This sounded fair in order to get a warranty again and have some piece of mind.  I was sad that I would have to pick a new ring that was not the one at my wedding in pictures and blessed on our wedding day.  The fact was the guarantee of invested money that was obsolete in the current ring.

The catch was that my ring did not meet the minimum quality the store was willing to accept, so my option was to keep the ring I have and buy a brand new one with no credit towards the new ring.

I have heard similar complaints and know others who are dealing with this as well. Another complaint on this website sounds like mine and I can say the exact same statements, for example they write, "Then one of the prongs on my main diamond bent, and now the diamond is loose. I cant wear my wedding ring now in fear that I will lose the main diamond that is still from the original engagement band. I called another jeweler in my area and was told that he to had heard the same stories and had in fact helped numerous customers that were in the same boat as I, from the same company!"  WOW, My exact words.

So, the second problem is that even if I take the ring in to get it fixed they will not touch it, they say the quality with the eye looks great, but under the diamond it is so bad that if they try to repair it the diamond might shatter.

The part that I am most frustrated about and completely disappointed in is that the quality must have never been what was stated and that due to our choice to trust this company with the quality and value (neither true) we are (for lack of a better word) "screwed".  It seems like with all factors that are present with so many consumers within this company that something should be done!
