Jeanatte Taylor Janetta Taylor Dobler insubordination Bernalillo New Mexico

I employed Janetta Taylor AKA Janetta Taylor Dobler, sometime mid-January 2018 as result of posting to craigslist seeking web developer. On or about May 1, 2018 I asked if she would rebuild my website in simple format and she agreed, i sent 2 PayPal payments and made cash payment on June 15, 2018 while discussing the project at Dunkin Donuts, just off I-25 in Bernalillo NM. At that time, she told me she would have a lot of time while away on vacation to do the work and be finished shortly after July 1st.

She explained that she was busy a lot with being a computer phone tech support person, and I had no problem accepting her time frame. Around July 15 it was apparent she hadn't done anything for about a month, so I mentioned giving her extra money to help compensate, she made no reply, around August 1st, I made numerous attempts to contact her and after some time she got back to me saying something about hospitalization.  Again, I offered extra monetary compensation for her needs, no reply except to inform me I needed a SSL certificate, which, later I learned I already had, and it would seem she was aware of, but on the chance she wasn't aware could have easily informed me of this around May 1, 2018. Or June 15, 2018, when in conversation at Dunkin Donuts.

Janetta had first mentioned she would load all the products to my website via an excel spread sheet, something never done, and it would have been acceptable if she had merely informed me that she later decided she couldn't do that.  As it turned out, for speedy completion of the project, I loaded all the products, or 3/4th of them, the other 1/4rh she had done on June 17th, 2018.

As time progressed it was apparent there was at least a few projects involved that she never did and never said anything to me so I would know to be busy doing, I only learned about by making repeat calls to my web host in order to learn more.

It would have been apparent from me taking actions that i was willing to do as much as I possibly could. But she said and did nothing to assist me. Once, I had repeatedly inquired about having her phone tech support me a crash course in web development but she never answered.

My own state of affairs, all apart from anything related to the website, was in the realm of low morale. I was having family related crisis and explained to her I had been sleeping poorly the previous few days, as in no sleep. that was the only 1 time she ever attempted to call me. Regrettably at that time I was in such a poor state of morale I was concerned if we were on the phone I'd say something rash that would result in her quitting altogether.

Most of us know better than to drive if we've been drinking, I knew better than to talk about something like that if I hadn't slept for a few days. A matter that on this day August 20th I've still not completely got caught upon.

Jeanetta wouldn't tell me anything regarding time frame, or progress except by me 3 times daily reviewing the site to see what progress was made. I felt it would be rude to ask or request her move faster and the job still dragged on, and it went without saying I wanted to be kept updated.  For 3.5 months she had been telling me she was on it and nothing, or close enough to consider she only needed to keep me posted. She didn't need to request that I take any actions because I was doing it.

On one hand she seemed like a pleasant person.  Once informing me that she preferred never talking on the phone, email correspondence was her choice. So I rarely ever did, and i sooo didn't want to say anything rude, or that might get construed that way. But it had got to the point where I no longer believed it if she said she'd do anything, so I elected to place another ad on craigslist seeking someone else to complete the project.

Nobody wants to part from someone they've place so much responsibility in on bad terms. It hurt like hell to give upon her. But all things considered, I'd have to think that's what she wanted. What would one do? Call and ask if they're quitting? That has a way of sounding rude, and nobody, or almost nobody, wants to do that.   

I'd still welcome her back, but like I said, all things considered, it's totally reasonable to think she doesn't want my employment. All good, except why then accept money on the agreement she’d do it?
