Jeb Stewart & Santa Fe Computer Works online ripoff fraud stupidity ebay incompetent moron Santa Fe New Mexico

Three Future Power VAKT266A Motherboards and one TYAN Trinity KT-A motherboard were purchased from Jeb Stewart of Santa Fe Computer Works on 5/06/2006 for $81.82. Purchased through eBay stores. I should have been tipped off by his ebay ID of turbothief

The four Motherboards were received on 5/10/2006.

Specifications listed in the ebay descriptions were grossly misrepresented.

The TYAN board received was a Trinity KT not the KT-A as stated. The description states a 266MHz FSB but the KT only supports 200MHz. The description was copied directly from Tyan.com. Jeb Stewart was too lazy to do any fact checking and just started the auctions with incorrect pictures, descriptions and specifications.

The 3 Future Power Motherboards received were nothing like Jeb Stewart's description. The boards listed online supported DDR & SDRAM and had a gold PCB color. The boards received only support DDR and have a blue PCB color. Jeb Stewarts description appears to be for a completely different manufacturer and model.

Jeb Stewart had all of the resources in front of him to list the auctions correctly. Access to the manuals and even the information printed on the boxes themselves were blatently different than the descriptions Jeb Stewart lifted off of the internet.

On 5/11/2006 I received responses from Jeb Stewart denying any wrongdoing and insisting that the motherboards I received were exactly the same ones that he listed. After emailing a barrage of evidence that the descriptions were grossly misrepresented Jeb Stewart had the audacity to blame me for buying the wrong motherboards. After several more emails and phone calls which Jeb Stewart hung up the phone on he told me to send the motherboards back for a refund.

On 5/12/2006 the motherboards were sent back FedEx (Tracking #242348910000388). The package was delivered and signed for on 5/16/2006 and many emails were sent to Jeb Stewart in the next week. Jeb Stewart was unresponsive and I had no choice but to file a paypal dispute against him on 5/25/2006.

Jeb Stewart was given 10 days to issue a refund by Paypal. Jeb Stewart did not make any actions and let the 10 days pass. I am now inconvienced by PayPal's long dispute process because Jeb did not make good on his word that he would refund the money.

Jeb Stewart was still selling items during this time. In fact the motherboards he sold me were relisted in the beginning of June proving that he has the money and the products. Jeb was still unresponsive until 6/21/2006 when I left negative feedback on his account for being a horrible seller, defrauding me and being severely incompetent.

The negative feedback finally got Jeb Stewart to respond as he had the audacity to leave retalitory feedback on my account. He told me that Paypal shut his account down and he couldn't refund the money (which is a lie, you can refund while the account is frozen). I told him it was his own fault and he should have refunded within 10 days as paypal states. Now I am inconvienced by more of his stupidity and have to wait for Paypal's buerocratic nonsense to get my money back.

I have contacted other buyers and the story is identical. Jeb Stewart is an incompetent fool who does not have any idea what the word responsibility means. As the seller it is up to him to describe his items, yet his screwed up mind thinks the buyer is at fault for his own mistakes. The fact that he is still employed by Santa Fe Computer Works is beyond me.

Jeb does continue to sell on eBay but does not accept paypal anymore as his account is locked. Now he only accepts payments through the mail. Now his buyers have no recourse to recover funds and on top of that Jeb Stewart is now commiting mail fraud.

Jeb Stewart has attempted to keep the money and products with everyone I have contacted. He is a downright criminal and should be barred from selling on eBay.
