Here is the first email I received from Jeff Fred:

My name is Jeff,i hail from UK and right now i work in Germany I read description and am instrested in your services,I will be importing some computer into the United States.The PC are laptops pentium 4 dell computer ..i want you to Install software, clean inner & outer computer components, update software to current status.Get back to me with you total cost for the services of 10 computer.i will like You to know that my mode of payment is by check.I await your urgent response so that i can put the arrangement in order.

I read your description and am insterested in your services,I just brought some computers in (Cape Coral,FL) and they are laptops pentium 4 dell computer ..i want you to Install software such as Microsoft Office and Antivirus, clean inner & outercomputer components, update software to current status,Get back to me with you total cost for the services ofeight computer excluding the shipping cost cus i have a shipper that will come with the computers and the necessary Softwares to you.
I await your urgent response so that i can put the arrangement in order

See the similarities?? With Cindy, I followed through with the deal, the check arrived, checked it out with the bank in Miami, FL funds were available. I deposited the check in my account and waited to see what would happen next.

Here is the nest email from Cindy:

I called my Client to confirm the payment and amount made out to you and my client made me understand the amount sent on the check $3800 is meant for Computers service fee and shipping fees for moving the 8computers to your location.I instructed him to make payment for your Service to you and the other to my Shipper but he made mistake of issuing all sum of $3800 to you.

So I need your help so badly now. Please you just go deposit it at your bank,deduct your Computers service fee and deposit and withdraw the rest cash while you please send it via WESTERN UNION MONEY TRANSFER to the infos below:

Send rest balance to my Shipping Agent at the info:

Once you sent the money, you get back to me with the Full Sender's Name,Address and the MTCN number #which must be 10digit and actual amount sent for the transaction.I'll then get my shipper ready and my computers shipped to your location once the funds has been made.Get back to me now when you read this message.

Needless to say I left the check in the bank and didn't go to Western Union, even though the said funds were able to be used at my bank that day. I waited till yesterday to check my account and sure enough $3800 was removed due to canceled payment. Received a poor photocopy of the check in the mail today stating it was unauthorized, the bank charged me $10 for the bad check, go figure on that one, it wasn't my check but I have to pay a fee? That's robbery in itself. Not to mention the original check was lost. How convenient is that.

How many people are involved in this scam? I have received more of these same type of emails but have deleted them. I am just wondering to whom this check was returned to, was it really a bank? I doubt it, who answered the phone at this bank, probably the people getting away with this BS. The poor use of English is a non English speaking person, pretending to be from this country.

You get the picture, I wish someone would investigate these people and lock them up for 100 years. Maybe then the scam artists would cease, but as long as they get away with it, we are all at their mercy.

Don't be one of those who say I'm too smart for this, cause there are a lot of people who aren't and they are the one's we need to protect. So let's put these people behind bars, take their possessions so their relatives can't re-open the store again. We need to put an end to this non-sense.
